P. J. O’Rourke

September 16, 2013, Vol. 19, No. 02

Julius Barack Caesar Obama Crosses the Rubicon

I am crossing the Rubicon. Brrr, the water’s chilly. Deep, too. I’m going for a walk along the riverbank to look for a bridge. And I will cross the Rubicon as soon as the weather warms up. The die has been cast. That is, the deck has been shuffled. Or the Wheel of Fortune has been spun. And I’ll buy a vowel...

Very true. And Hussein seems to do a lot of that.

Brave Sir Barack (with apologies to Monty Python)

Brave Sir Barack ran away

Bravely, ran away...away...

When danger reared its ugly head

He bravely turned his tail and fled

Yes, brave Sir Barack turned about

And gallantly he chickened out

Bravely taking to his feet

He beat a very brave retreat

Bravest of the brave, Sir Barack

He is packing it in and packing it up

And sneaking away and buggering off

And chickening out and running off home,

Yes, bravely he is throwing in the sponge.

THEY SAID IT COULDN’T BE DONE
by
Benny Hill

They said that it could not be done,
He said, “Just let me try.”
They said, “Other men have tried and failed,”
He answered, “But not I.”
They said, “It is impossible,”
He said, “There’s no such word.”
He closed his mind, he closed his heart...
To everything he heard.

He said, “Within the heart of man,
There is a tiny seed.
It grows until it blossoms,
It’s called the ‘Will to Succeed.’
Its roots are strength, its stem is hope,
Its petals inspiration,
Its thorns protect its strong green leaves,
With grim determination.

Its stamens are its skills
Which help to shape each plan,
For there’s nothing in the universe
Beyond the scope of man.
They thought that it could not be done,
Some even said they knew it,
But he faced up to what could not be done...

...AND HE COULDN’T BLOODY DO IT!!

Embarrassing...a coward. I thought I would never live to see the day that our president would back down to anyone.

Take that back, I lived thru Jimmy Carter, but at least he tried.

Obama is an f ing coward. In one week he has transformed us to pansies.

But the worst is yet to come my friends
