Seems like every month or two I see an article that causes me to say, “Yep. this is why I left King county, after 45 years, and moved to a small farm in central Kentucky.

Did you know I don’t even need a building permit to build a HOUSE?

Gawd, I’m glad to be out of there.

Somewhere In NJ you are supposed to get a permit to change out a leaking water faucet valve ... They are concerned you might reverse the handles and get the H and C mixed up....

Of course I know of no one that actually gets that permit...

I hear ya ‘leaf!! (I ‘did’ 55 yrs. myself in King Co. before escaping). I’ve been way up and out in the beautiful mountains for a long while now and would not go back to the big city life for anything. No illegals around and the only thing black scootin’ by up here are the Bears!!

Zoning regulations were forced on most of rural America over the last 50 years.

They are the epitome of local elite tyranny.
