SF Closer to Becoming First County to Outlaw Illegal Immigrant Detentions
Breitbart ^

Posted on 09/07/2013 8:13:17 PM PDT by chessplayer

San Francisco County is set to become the first in the nation to make it illegal for law enforcement officials to detain illegal immigrants "solely on the basis of immigration status."

Supporters of the ordinance, as it is written, reportedly have a "veto-proof majority," even though law enforcement authorities want the ordinance amended "to see convicted violent felons, sex offenders and those with prior weapons possession convictions exempted from the law."

it’s tough to say your law means anything when you selectively enforce it... even when you have the law breaker in custody and the offense known

at that point, those not enforcing the law are effectively creating new law to contradict existing law

Send all the illegals there. Bus them. Fly them. Load them on a boat and cruise them there.

Des Moines, being at the intersection of I-35 and I-80, gets a lot of homeless, drifters, bums and wackos. So Polk County puts them on buses to Florida, one way. Or at least they did when I was at the unemployment office there.

San Fransicko will pass this ordinance, which will then spread to neighboring counties, and across the state. This is nothing less than the wholesale surrender of a sovereign American state to a colonizing invasion force.

We should learn something from these traitors...it's time for gun owner sanctuary cities. Local police and government will not participate or aid in the enforcement of federal gun laws unless there is reason to believe a violent crimes are involved.

Might as well send them all there.
Then San Francisco will be as unlivable as Los Angeles.

We lost Los Angeles decades ago. SanFran will not be different.

Oh yes, SF has lots of Asians, but virtually all of them are hardworking people, educated and/or dedicated to their childrens’ educations.

LOL!
Good. San Fransicko is already a pervert magnet. Let it double as an illegal alien magnet.
Sounds good to me.

How long will it be before Eric Holder sues San Francisco the way he sued Arizona?

After all, he argued that the Federal Government sets immigration policy, not states.

According to Holder, we can't have a hodge-podge of immigration laws.

We lost Los Angeles decades ago.

Los Angeles County never passed an ordinance making it illegal to arrest people for being in the country without proper documentation.

I know, I know, it's just a formality, but it does make a difference. San Francisco is effectively casting aside the very notion of state sovereignty, and welcoming the world into our country, regardless of their origins or condition.

It's the end result of having insisted for so long, that all cultures are equal. These people actually hate their own country, its history, its language, and everything it has stood for throughout its existence. The lofty and timeless precepts that America was founded upon, mean nothing to such people.

As California is increasingly filled with illiterate foreigners who care nothing for this country, and who are little more than blood sucking parasites, those liberals are getting what they asked for. The fools are throwing away something that took dozens of generations of hard work to build, all for the sake of fleeting feel good politics.

Yes, a tragedy. I love CA but could no longer live there after 1994. Well, maybe in Mendocino, but that’s a difficult place for reasons other than illegals. Now stuck in the far less beautiful state of WA, relegated to dreaming of the “land I love.”

I feel lucky that I raised my kids in CA when it was beautiful, when their public high school was ranked 8th in the nation and when it was safe to let them go to the beach for bonfires with their friends after dark.. Most assuredly CA has lost it’s ranking, it’s safety factor, it’s thriving economy.

Do it, do it, do it - so we can keep buying one way tickets to SF for illegals!

Give the State of California their economic death wish!!!
