We have a small pediatric clinic and serve mostly Medicaid patients. What used to be a safety net program is now expanded beyond belief. We have many families that speak no english but are covered. We have patients that are covered under Blue Cross, yet have Medicaid as well. What galls me the most is that we have families that drive up in Escalades and Denalis that are covered by Medicaid. SMH

They are the ones earning scholarships as well, by simply checking a particular box on a particular exam

Oh, I’ve worked in these clinics. I’ve seen the brand new SUV’s, the brand new school clothes, Coach bags, the hair-do’s, the cell phones ....also watched as they send their sick kids to school and infect everyone else, sending even MORE kids to the free Medicaid clinics to sit and wait for hours with 4 kids in tow, all screaming and crying. Ugh.
