Fears of wounding Obama weigh heavily on Democrats ahead of vote

The prospect of wounding President Obama is weighing heavily on Democratic lawmakers as they decide their votes on Syria.

Obama needs all the political capital he can muster heading into bruising battles with the GOP over fiscal spending and the debt ceiling.

Democrats want Obama to use his popularity to reverse automatic spending cuts already in effect and pay for new economic stimulus measures through higher taxes on the wealthy and on multinational companies.

But if the request for authorization for Syria military strikes is rebuffed, some fear it could limit Obama's power in those high-stakes fights.

Some said the GOP has shown little indication it will advance Obama’s agenda even after his reelection, so a Syria failure would do little damage.

Boo-Hoo! My heart bleeds. (/s)

I would love to see the Republicans take over the Senate and control both houses of Congress!

Obama wounded himself.

For me personally, I cannot support this Syria debacle after the way Obama handled Ben Ghazi. He lied to us and the world. He put a poor Christian in jail for a video. He refused to rescue our Ambassador, a State Department worker and two former Navy SEALs. There is no way I trust him with Syria. NO EFFING WAY!

But just think! It would be a “historical” wound.

Well, it took years, but the race card is coming home on those who used to throw it around. Karma’s a bitch.

OATH OF OFFICE FOR CONGRESS AND SENATE:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

ADDENDUM TO OATH OF OFFICE FOR DEMOCRATS:
Unless it is inconvenient or disagreeable to me personally, to the democrat party, or to a democrat president.

= For Democrats, Ubama and politics take precedence over what's best for America.

Liberals would rather dismember an innocent screaming child than hurt Trayvon Fagdaddy's delicate feelings.

Mr. Frog, how's the water?

When push comes to shove liberals will fall in line and do what they are told, they do not tolerate individualism.

Party above country. How typical.....even when the very existence of the nation is a stake.

I don’t mind seeing him wounded but I am concerned about how a wounded and cornered Obama will react.

The entire federal government is politically wounded beyond the point of repair.

The country may be as well.

Both parties are responsible for this.

So in short, Democrats would vote for war if it meant they could raise taxes on Americans. Got it.

Yeah, what's a few Russian nuclear missiles falling on American cities, compared to Obama's ego?
