I have a better and much more effective solution.....Impeach Obama!!! This incompetent, failed POTUS created this entire Middle East mess, from day one of his term as POTUS!!! Remove him, Obama, Biden and all their Obamabot failures!!! We need a POTUS that will lead...not lie!!! This evil human being, Obama, will gladly put American military folks in harm’s way to protect his butt and inflated ego!!! Impeach him....or send him, Obama, Biden and Kerry to Syria to care of Assad....rather then our precious military personnel!!! End of Story!!!

When Obama refuses to respond, tell him:
"The Syrian Rebels are made up of the muslim brotherhood, and al-Qaeda, sponsored and recruited by the muslim brotherhood to fight Bashir al-Assad. Mr. Obama - are you seriously proposing to arm al-Qaeda in Syria to fight against Bashir al-Assad?"
Because that's the reality: Obama wants to arm al-Qaeda in Syria to fight Assad. al-Qaeda is a declared ENEMY of the United States of America and is in fact, on the United States Terrorist Group list. Their leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri is on the United States Most Wanted List.
Therefore, Obama is actively an ACT OF TREASON against the People of the United States of America by ARMING, TRAINING and SUPPORTING the very terrorist organization that killed almost 3,000 people on Sept. 11th, 2001.
Why in the HELL isn't this Congress drafting up Articles of Impeachment against Obama at this very moment for TREASON against the United States of America?

Kerry et al keep bragging that we will put no boots on the ground. Actually, they already have boots on the ground, and those boots are Al Qaeda. Which means, if you topple Assad, Al Qaeda and the Brothers inherit the chemical weapons this action is supposed to be about.
If you seriously want to change the equation (and protect the world from Assad’s chemical weapons) you have to do what Bush did in Iraq and Afghanistan, which is to commit to boots on the ground for a decade. Fight the guerrilla war that is guaranteed to happen to keep the Brothers and the old Baathists from taking power in the aftermath, hold new elections, and defend the new government until they are able to defend themselves.
If you aren’t prepared to do that, then this is guaranteed to hand Syria over to the jihadists, and probably sink Syria into another worse civil war.
So, either American boots for a decade, or stay out.
Even more obvious: let them sort it out themselves.
They will never accept a solution imposed by outsiders, anyway. They will just unite long enough to rid themselves of the interlopers.

Oh, don't be silly. Syria is used to being governed by a ruthless strong man who kills anyone he wants to for any reason and brutally persecutes anyone who disagrees. Surely there isn't anyone in American government who fits that description...hmm...well, I guess I could be wrong about that.

Why doesn’t the United States, the country that put a man on the moon, and cured the common cold, send a respected Statesman, with the weight of world opinion, with unquestioned persuasive skills, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, to negotiate a cease fire, and win the Peace?

Interesting thought, except what targets do the rebels have? I see them shooting out of an apartment building window, or from the bed of a pickup truck.
Perhaps the best offense would target all the leaders with drones. Leave no leader standing, rebel or otherwise.
