Hillary Rodham Clinton, the former secretary of state and potential 2016 presidential candidate, is planning to make remarks about the intensifying situation in Syria during a visit to the White House on Monday.
Clinton has not personally addressed the Aug. 21 chemical weapons attack that U.S. officials say was carried out by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime or how she believes the United States should respond. Although an aide issued a statement last Tuesday saying she supports President Obama’s effort to seek authorization from Congress for a retaliatory strike.

Why the heck? Hillary gets to make a statement? She’s no longer part of the administration...and she’s a class A liar. I smell a strong stench of desperation from the white house. It’s like when the children were sick in bed and would pull out their dusty stuff animals to give them some comfort.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sternly warned Syria Monday that using chemical weapons against rebel forces would be a “red line” and trigger retaliatory action from the United States.
Along with a pledge from President Obama, Clinton’s words were the second public warning from the U.S. government in response to reports that Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad may be moving a chemical weapons stockpile.
“We have made our views very clear. This is a red line for the United States. I’m not going to telegraph in any specifics what we would do in the event of credible evidence that the Assad regime has resorted to using chemical weapons against his own people, but suffice to say we are certainly planning to take action if that eventuality were to occur,” Clinton said at a press conference in Prague.
