It shouldn't be a career-ender for and pubs supporting the strike. There are some staunch conservatives supporting the strike , (mostly concerned with weakening of US) Tom Cotton is one, for example.

As much as I want the ass clown to be humiliated with a no vote, and as wrong as a supportive vote is imho , their convictions are completely sincere.

I only question why they think this administration could successfully pull this off. I think they're counting on our military to save the day.

Well after reading all of this...how can it be said they are privately supportive.

Also how can they get away with calling these yahoo’s conservative, even that filthy lying traitor Rubio is against it.

“I know Denis McDonough is working the Senate, but we need to see more on our side,” says the leadership source. “The White House isn’t doing enough. If they can’t get it together soon, this thing will go down.”

My opinion is that the "White House" is HOPING it fails in the House so they can blame the Republicans for letting their "hatred" of the President blind their loyalty to the United States.

As long as he's been in office, Obama has always looked for the political advantage, rather than doing what's right, and then blaming his political opponents for the exact same thing.

Maybe this whole Syria thing is a feint by Obama/Jarret/Axelrod to put the Republicans on the defensive, and they really have no desire to do anything about Syria except talk.
