When asked by reporters if there was a racial component to the attack police spokesperson I. B. Shillen stated “there was no indication that this was anything other than a random attack and we’re not sure what the motivation of the assailant was at this point. We have however been able to definitely rule out race as a factor during our investigation. We also advise the public if they are ever attacked to offer no resistance and make a police report on the incident as soon as possible.”

I guarantee you that if a White said,” I hate Blacks” and attacked a Black it would be a hate crime.

It would only be considered a hate crime if the black perp had used a derogatory term like cracker to describe his white victim.

No, just too deep for you all. Cause and effect.

The black guy wouldn’t be looking to punch the first white guy he saw that day if the white guy he punched hadn’t voted for the guy who instigated the black guy in the first place.

Asked by reporters if the attack on Raymond Jackson by Cletus Peckerwood may have had a racial component police spokesperson I. B. Shillen stated “ most definitively during the course of our investigation it became apparent from statements from both the victim and witnesses that several racial slurs were directed at the victim by the assailant Mr. Peckerwood during the attack and the only reason Mr. Jackson was attacked due to his being African-American.” County Prosecutor Tyrone Mohammad stated” we will not tolerate racial prejudice in our communities, not only will we charge this defendant will criminal assault and hate crime statutes under the state criminal code but we have also been in contact with both the FBI and the U S Justice department about adding additional charges.”

"Police were investigating the incident as a possible hate crime"

Wonder if the perp yelling "I hate white people" was their first clue?

Sarcasm aside, FR is the only place I've heard about this incident. As usual.

This never happened. After all, Lashawn, just like the late St. Trayvon of the Skittles (SBUH), was “unarmed” and therefore unable to hurt anyone. It’s just a racist myth being peddled by Honkies and Crackers.

So “hate” then is simply a quirk of an ethnic dialect?

Liberal logic implies that “white person” is proper vernacular, so there couldn’t have been any malice involved and therefore this random assault on a white person is not a hate crime.
