I know requests for donations are frowned upon, if not outright disallowed, on FR. That said, a group of patriotic Americans is taking a stand. This is huge.
Per the article on The Right Scoop,"District of Columbia reportedly has granted the American Muslim Political Action Committee a permit for the Million Americans Against Fear rally, formerly known as the Million Muslim March..." Why the name change? What's up with that?
Moderator, if this notice about funds needed for this patriotic event is a total violation, delete it.

It’s too late for fundraising. 9/11 is tomorrow.

I think the donations are just to help fray costs.
The group makes it very clear not to donate if there is any issue, more interested in you arriving and joining.
This is going to be huge.

If it were too late they wouldn't be doing it. They had a fundraiser up yesterday. When they reached their goal, they took it down. Then this afternoon another plea went out. Obviously they need more money. $10, $25 here and there all adds up.
The Million American March Against Fear (the Muslim PAC) facebook page has 187 likes. The 2 Million Bikers to DC page has 108,000.

They can’t get a same day permit. It has to be done weeks in advance.

They cant get a same day permit. You need a permit to ride a motorcycle into DC?

Exactly, I don’t think money is a problem at this point.

I would love to go to this biker rally, but I would have stay in Virginia because my concealed carry pistol goes everwhere with me when I ride. Since D.C and Md. deny my right to carry, I would not go there.

They wanted a "nonstop" permit so they could ride by a few memorials and then leave town. They were refused. Now it'll take all day because they'll have to stop at all traffic lights etc.
This article gives more info:

ps. I don't know why the link isn't highlighting.

I don’t think it is, either. I’m sure most of these guys can defray their own costs. And they don’t need a permit to ride, they just wanted to be escorted so they don’t have to stop at every light and stop sign. DC does it all the time to get a crowd like this in and out of the city.
Denying the permit was pretty short-sighted, because they turned a two-hour happening into an all-day event. I hope they get to cruise next to the mall because the Muslims will never be able to hear the speakers.

Donated. Had to reset my password its been so long since I was on Facebook. This is a very good reason to log back onto Facebook.

I don't use facebook either. I keep an account open which for something like this event is a good thing. But I never use it and nothing is posted on my page.

I don’t think they will get a permit at this point. They can cruise next to the mall. They just have to obey the traffic rules.

Correct about the traffic rules, and they’ve promised to do just that. I don’t know if they’ll ride by the mall. It could cause major trouble for the tourists, and I don’t think the bikers want to have that PR trouble.
But I can dream, right?

Oh, BTW, I believe they did apply for a permit in a timely fashion, but it was denied.

Correct which is why they shouldn’t need money at this point.

"They can cruise next to the mall. They just have to obey the traffic rules."The only scary part is that all the "Trayvon Sainthood" parasites that inhabit DC may try to agitate (probably with Union and Black Panther-paid plants).
