Once a candidate concedes, it’s over. No challenge, no recount.

I’m another freeper located in Monument...wish I could have voted in this. Great day in the struggle to take back Colorado. Lots of folks think this place is gone but we ain’t dead yet. Little victories. De Opresso Liber.

You know? The best part is that the gun grabbers did NOT win!
Every elected official in the country will know this, by tomorrow night.
Many will now tell Bloomingidiotberg and others to go pound sand!

Thanks but I was just one of many. I’m proud to say that there were other wonderful FReepers involved too. It’s the first step in taking our State back and our Country too. I guarantee that this shot was heard in Washington.

Yes, it’s very encouraging. Now if the Republicans will listen and get the guts to follow up.

Once a candidate concedes, it’s over. No challenge, no recount.

Where people get this stuff? Remember Al Gore's retracted concession in 2000 and the fight that followed?

The reality is, a concession is just a nice pleasantry. It means nothing and is entirely optional. If a candidate concedes early and the late vote returns change the outcome, the concession legally means nothing.

That is very rare.

Concessions happen when the politician gets the data from his own people that he can't win.

This is going to send messages far and wide.

John Morse represented a heavily conservative district. He turned his back on his constituents and he got tossed from office.

Good riddance!

So what’s the deal now? Is he allowed to run in the election to fill his seat? If he only lost the recall by 4%, he might beat any given opponent.

If you believe the Planned Parenthood wench's commercial, both of them are Satan incarnate. Which is probably a compliment considering the source. Doomburg's folks were screaming bloody murder on the TV and radio ads so -> these guys should be OK. IMHO, that is.

Yes, it is rare. My point had nothing to do with the frequency of such events. My point was in response to the implication that a concession settles things leaving no opportunity to challenge and no opportunity for a recount.

That statement is demonstrably false.

Nope, he has already been replaced. That vote happened at the same time as the recall.

Impressive that even the leftists over at AP admit she was recalled over her position on gun rights. She was claiming it was because she was latina (course none of the other in the legislature got recalled, just her).

Yeah, but the left wailed and gnashed their teeth about Bush like he was some kind of arch-conservative wunderkind and he was about 1% more conservative than Fat Teddy. Liberals reaction to people doesn’t always mean anything.

That's a joke. Pueblo has a very large Hispanic population. I would guess that the majority of votes against her were cast by Hispanics.
