First, California Dems blithely believing that they can write (and pass) laws that genuinely restrict responsible gun ownership and use now must know that gun-owning voters are energized (and organized). One hopes that the nonsensical proposed laws in Cali will now go away. (We'll see.)
Second, Congressional RINOs just might feel voter support being re-distributed (ha ha) away by energized GOPers (and right-thinking Dems). I don't think that this is too much of a stretch. There is palpable momentum in the grass roots activism and recall votes; and, it is quite catchy.
THE issue for 2014 just might be Second Amendment preservation. All candidates need to be accountable for previous votes and statements..
“..but we do have our warts....”
Every state does, friend... but put them in their damn place, and teach their asses what “Live and Let Live” means, and maybe you’ll never HAVE to secede.
This has been an outstanding evening...
larger than 16 ounces?
It’s a done deal....100% reporting:
Ballot Issue State Senate 3 - Recall Giron
Updated 0 minutes ago
Take THAT, Bloomberg B!tch!! Let the liberal whining begin!
You go, Colorado!
Still no ammo in the state though.
Gotta say it:
Dear Mr Morse and MISS Giron:
THIS is what DEMOCRACY looks like...
*UPDATE 3: Giron is RECALLED with over 60% in favor. Amazing what average, everyday Americans can do, in this case a plumber (Victor Head, Pueblo Freedom and Rights) from Pueblo.
Looks to me like 'giron' is toast. God is good.
Yeah, I’m surprised. I actually thought she would survive, but she may do worse than Morse, who it looks like lost by 2%
Sounds about right. And the ‘racist’ lib he didn’t want to win the rat primary in NY won too.
lost by 2%?
Some are saying she lost with 60% against
I hear you, and your joy is palpable. We’re all with you even if we are not all from Colorado!
This is BIG! Nationally, this will rock some folks, we can bank that!
That’s Morse, but he’s conceded already.
Giron was the prize! Looks like Morse may go down too! Woot!
This will be noticed across the land, and we sure needed some good news.
“Send a contingent to New York to get voters behind a push to recall a few senators”
They can’t do that.
If he lost by only 2%, what are the chances he’ll get a recount? We know what can happen in that situation.
That's only if you count all the fraudulent votes though.
Women and children hurt the most
2% is way too close, if its close they can cheat it out
OMG, I set you off now.
I read somewhere that Weiner and Spitzer both lost their bids for office, too!
Just now noticed that something was added to my tagline. How can that happen????
I have no idea... are you sure you didn’t do that? Maybe a split personality? Having family problems? or maybe that is the split personality having family problems. lol.
Thank you God!!
The votes appear to be in all in. Both rats have conceded.
Giron gets crushed 56-44. She is replaced by Republican Former Pueblo Deputy Police Chief George Rivera.
Morse loses by only 51-49. He’s replaced by Republican former Colorado Springs Councilman Bernie Herpin.
Both replacements were chosen and slated by local GOP officials, apparently that’s how it works there.
Almost all ballots were cast in person with little early voting which is apparently unusual in Pueblo County.
No, CO isn’t ground zero, America is. If they get our guns we’re all dead.
VICTORY! LIBERTY IS RISING!
It is the first pause in the hemorrhaging in Colorado. I hope that it is the beginning of a direction change in Colorado. The conservatives are beginning to get animated and the Dems are vulnerable. The Pueblo win is huge! If a democrat can lose there, nowhere but Denver and Boulder is sanctuary for them.
What you said, and losing a recall in a district 47% democrat and only 23% Republican!
This tells me not ALL Dems are gun grabbers.
I don't doubt that you're right, but I have no idea what happened in NYC. I think of that as lost left-wing-land; so, I guess they can do as they want. I will not be living there any time soon.
I am concerned about upstate NY, not the city. When the upcoming secession movement develops, I predict that the bulk of the state of NY will separate from the city. It will be interesting.
Still, it's kind of weird...
Australia, Norway and now Colorado. Plus Obama self-immolating. It’s been a good couple of days. As you say, we needed some good news.
what is astounding is how we are all reading MSM news. It is like Pravda in Cold War Moscow. It is more important to read what is not published than what is published. not a peep from radio MSM
Such excellent news. Been waiting for the results all night. Can go to bed now with a smile on my face and will dream of counting Glocks.
Spitzer defeated and Weiner finished with few votes.
Oh, there's some of that here, believe me. Libs in Texas aren't nearly as outspoken and outrageous as they are in other parts of the country. As a former Californian, I can vouch for that.
We still outnumber them, and from what I can tell, enough conservatives are moving here that the balance is staying in check.
If we secede, it won't be because of the libs here. It'll be because of the ones in DC (and their RINO co-conspirators) who are destroying what's left of this once great country.
CONGRATULATIONS COLORADO! WOOOOOOOOT!
Dems hold the Senate by ONE seat going into the 2014 election. Hickenlooper road Obama’s coat tails and now he is facing a real election without the artificial support of Obama. He is also polling at about 45% right now. In short, he is vulnerable and the Dems know it. There are also enough vulnerable Dems in the house that it could flip as well. So it is quite possible in one election cycle for the Dems to lose the Senate, the Gov AND the house.
All because of their stupid push on gun control.
Already the shock waves are being felt in the Dem echo chambers. The panic is real, you can smell the fear. This could very well mean that come November 2014, the Dems will have gone from total control to no control over one issue and in one election cycle.
I might just have to sneak over to DU to see what their comments are in the morning.
A good day .
