Something pretty remarkable happened in Colorado on Tuesday night. John Morse, the Democratic president of the state Senate, was recalled from office. So was Democratic state Sen. Angela Giron. Taken together, the losses arguably represent the biggest defeat for gun-control advocates since the push for expanded background checks failed in the U.S. Senate earlier this year.
Its not every day that you see an incumbent recalled from office, let alone someone as high-profile as a state Senate president. The message the defeat of Morse and Giron sends to legislators all across the country is unmistakable: If you are thinking about pushing for new gun-control laws, you could face swift consequences. You could almost call it the bellwether state as far as whats going to happen down the road as far as gun-control and Second Amendment rights, Republican George Rivera, who will fill Girons seat, told The Fix late last month.

When I lived in Colorado, I lived in the S.W corner of the state and that was VERY Conservative. I loved it there. Yet, 47 miles N.E was a town that was so liberal/democrat it was pathetic!
Sounds more elegant in the original French.
California will get it’s comeuppance once the immigration bill and Bammy grants citizenship via EO. The state’s name will be changed to Norte Mexico within 10 years.
I’ll take Romney any day over Obama....today and last election day.
Ill take Romney any day over Obama....today and last election day.
Same here. Particularly these past few weeks, as Obama flirts with setting off a Middle East conflagration that could well ignite a world war. As bad as Romney was on domestic issues, the anti-Romney folks forgot that the President also sets foreign policy, and a FUBAR in foreign policy can be catastrophic.
