Yes, and these are the ONLY people who should be receiving “gender reassignment” surgery.
But, close to 100% of all humans are either biologically male, or biologically female.
The NY Times is big on pushing this since it’s the latest liberal cause. It has always been known that there are gradations, so to speak, in sexual identification. But the delusion that, despite your physical attributes, you’re really another sex seems to be a recent one and I think it’s definitely a product of society.
And in virtually all the cases I have read about, the parents have been a little nutty and have done things like dress the child in the clothing of the opposite sex practically since birth, give him or her a name usually used by the opposite sex, etc.
It’s really not new: I worked with somebody in the last category years ago. I met her about 35 years ago and last saw her about 33 years ago, but I haven’t kept up with her since. She’d probably now be in her 60s. Her father had given her a boy’s name and treated her like a boy because he wanted a boy and was positively vicious to her mother for not having had a boy. She was, of course, a very butch lesbian who was often assumed to be male.
And now this social dysfunction has suddenly become cool.
I haven't come that far...
Urp.
I am not open minded and I am not adaptable, very easily at least...
I believe there are people with mixed sexual characteristics, there always has been, always will be....if surgery can complete their lives, go for it...
but this sudden increase in the number of transgender people is all hooey....
Always been around and epidemic aren’t the same thing though.
It’s undeniable that most (certainly not all) young males in this country are very effete. In both appearance and behavior.
I’m not betting that every single parent out there is fostering this.
I’ve said on other threads. Look at the secondary male sexual characteristics of your average HS senior class of 1935. Square jaws, broad shoulders, chest hair and stubble on their faces. My grandfather was of that approximate generation. He and most of his demographic had very deep voices. Compare/contrast to the HS seniors in 2013. Way too many of them look like 14yr old boys who’ve just started (but nowhere near completed!) puberty. And it’s doubtful many of them will have deep voices at all.
I don’t think it’s all ‘socially’ caused.
Meanwhile the broad shoulders are found in the senior class women...
It will have serious social consequences in the future though...And I’m betting some of the ‘social consequences’ we’re seeing now are caused by the same phenomenon.
I think the male transgenders just like to wear the pretty, soft, sensual womens clothing.
I can’t blame them. Then again I’m female.
They should be tracking down the people who molested these poor kids, inducing trauma that led to same-sex attraction disorder.
Y’all won’t believe this!!!!

Maybe we should just re-title them Homecoming Oligarchs and not worry about it. I never actually cared one way or another about homecoming or the monarchs, none of my friends did either. Most of these Ts participating are just weird kids trying to irritate the popular kids, a goal I support.
“cis-” is a latin prefix, meaning “on this side of”
If you want to be livid, google “cisgender” and see how much this is making the rounds through our taxpayer funding of useless college courses.
BTW, this paragraph from the Wikipedia entry really shows the politics behind this word usage, which actually has both pro- and con- arguments based on liberal misuse of language to win debates:
“Proponents of using the terms rather than terms like “non-transsexual” or “non-trans” have argued that it calls attention to and unsettles the assumption that people, by default, have an internal sense of being male or female that matches the sex marker they were assigned at birth: for example, Jillana Enteen wrote that “cissexual” is “meant to show that there are embedded assumptions encoded in expecting this seamless conformity.”[19] On the other hand, other authors have argued that other terms are more likely to be familiar to readers: for example, Krista Scott-Dixon noted “I prefer the term non-trans to other options such as cissexual/cisgendered... as I think it both centers trans as the norm, and presently offers more clarity to the average person than the cis prefix.”[20]
Note that: they prefer to say “transexual” and “non-transexual”, so that “transexual” is seen as the NORM, while the normal people are seen as abnormal.
There also is the phrase “cisgender privilege”, the unearned advantage people get for being the sex they were born with.
Frankly, I want to own that one. Damn straight I am privileged, because I actually accept myself the way my Creator made me, and don’t try to be something I’m not. I also don’t try to be black, or Irish, or six feet tall, even though there were times I thought each of those would be cool.
And I definitely feel sorry for people who can’t accept themselves the way they are, but are instead always trying to live up to other people’s expectations, some by trying to “act their sex”, and others trying to mutilate themselves so they LOOK like the way they feel, as if how you feel should match the unreasonable stereotypes of male and female.
In that case, I demand to be referred to as "direct drive" (as opposed to "tranny").
These pervs get elects as a joke, or because they are a novelty - nothing more.
Hey, I like pretty, soft, sensual womens clothing.
Crumpled on the floor.
Seriously, I doubt this will be much of a problem at my son's private Christian academy.
Good grief. These people are nuts. And no doubt their nuttiness is being funded by our government education dollars.
