When I first looked into the attempts to recall two Colorado state senators, I decided not to write about them. These were solidly Democratic districts, and it seemed unlikely that the disorganized effort would succeed.
But Tuesday night both recalls did succeed. John Morse, the president of the state Senate, lost by two percentage points, while Angela Giron lost by a surprising 12 points...

Perhaps, as I explained in April, the energy is all on the side of the voters who oppose gun control. For example, while Americans might support universal background checks in the abstract, in practice they just don’t care that much about it. Those who oppose them, however, care a lot.

Some of the most onerous anti-gun laws I've ever heard of are currently sailing through the legislature with hardly a peep from the press. I don't even know who sponsored them.

I am more interested in the Virginia Governor’s race. If we win the Governorship in Virginia then we are in extremely good shape. If not, then we may have our work cut out for us. November will be very telling.
Morse did come close, but it appears there was massive vote fraud by Colorado College students in his district, bringing in backpacks full of ballots.
Unlike the Obama/Holder Regime, voters cannot pick and choose which laws they want to obey.
The voter is limited to throwing their feudal social engineering lords out of their feeding positions at the Public Trough.

In a district that Barack Obama won by almost 20 points I figured there was no way that could be right and made a rare decision not to release the poll. For democrats to think “Newton changed everything” - meaning: more people want gun control, is such a stupid assertion.
Newton was a gun-free zone. We see how gun-free zones work in Chicago. If anything, more people realize that evil exists and we must be able to defend ourselves and our children.
I'm not saying Dems rushed to the polls and voted against their own party, they just stayed home and let the Republicans take out the trash. Debbie Washerwoman says they were suppressed but truth is this issue is creating dissention in the 'Rat party. The GOP would be wise to exploit this schism.

Worth reading. I don’t think it’s valid to compare the Obama immaculation with the voting on this issue. Especially in the more rural Pueblo area.
And the author seems enamored about the percentage of Democrats, but ignores the elephant in the room - the percentage of Hispanics. I think it will be vital to understand how Hispanics feel about key issues, and to communicate the conservative pro-liberty message clearly to them.
People didn’t immigrate (legally or otherwise) to the US because we have tough gun-control laws.
Pueblo has a lot of Hispanic, how many, and many many illegals, I don’t know, but it’s probably one of the higher concentrations in the state.
Maybe someone can jump in with real numbers.
