The rebels want the CWs

Their not wanting Assad to give up the CWs does seem to be verification that they are not horrified by their use. They already have them and with this plan they can no longer blame their use on Assad.

I'm waiting for McCain to say we should give those weapons to the Syrian rebels for safe keeping (sarcasm, I hope)

I guess that’s because they’d be revealed as the ones using them?

It’s probably one of the most effective weapons they have, because not only does it kill a lot of people with little manpower (and if the guy doing the gassing gets gassed himself, always a danger, heck, he’s going off to get his virgins), but the ability to blame it on others and get some good propaganda photos is priceless.

Does anybody remember about three months ago when the “rebels” were attacking a remote facility in Syria that the army was heavily defending - because it supposedly had the gas stocks that Assad had gotten from Saddam? This was something that couldn’t be discussed here, of course, because it was always the liberal mantra that Saddam had no chemical arms, although it was well known and even demonstrated that he did. It was also one of the reasons the US considered going into Syria during the Iraq war.

IIRC, the facility fell although the government had managed to destroy most of what was there first. So the “rebels” would have gotten something, although they may not have much, but even in its probably degraded condition, it was sufficient for an attack or two. And if Assad is even seen to be giving up his chemical supplies, this is going to crimp the “rebel” style.

The Free Syrian Rebel Army, who is made up of terrorists left over from Egypt and around the world? There are at least 100 Americans over there, fighting Jihad with this “Free Army”.

And Obama wants to aid them, and then bring them here. It is his ethnic cleansing plan.

Have we figured it out yet?

NOW will the world admit these rag heads fired off the chemical weapons? They want these weapons of mass destruction because they want to use them on Israel and inside America!

It’s a Russian opportunity to get their boots on the ground and fight the jihadists. Putin will say that they absolutely have to protect the chemical weapons for the good of the entire world. So the white knights will swoop in with enough manpower to guard the weapons sites which now means 50x soldiers because of the threat from the jihadists.

My guess is that a lot of the gas that is probably still in the same barrels that are 10,15,20 years old is starting to leak and may be unstable as well as useless. It has to cost quite a bit to maintain such an arsenal that has low pr value when used and is probably a nightmare to move.
Getting rid of the gas is probably a big plus for Assad. It may take the other terror types a while to figure that one out.

Today’s lie will be that Obama never said the negotiations he took credit for were his idea.

This is the beauty of the Arab/Muslim mind:

No compromise
No flexibility
No agreements
No laying down of arms
No surrender
No mercy
No control over animal instincts
No wavering
No listening
No thinking
No prisoners
No promises
No peace

So they kill each other off until one side is left standing.
Then there is peace but not for long...

Let them annihilate each other and do the rest of us a service.

If the UN officially has Assad’s weapons then the rebels can’t use them foand try to blame it on Assad.

Americans tend to assume that others would not be capable of things which we are not capable of; the idea of killing 3000 or 5000 of our own in order to achieve some ulterior end such as NATO involvement for instance... In the cases of Bosnia in the 1990s or the Muslim Brotherhood now, we should not make that assumption. A Google search on "Clinton Izetbegovic 5,000 " turns up numerous hits, the gist of which is that the Bosnian strongman had asked Clinton how many dead muslims it would take to pull NATO and the US into that conflict and Clinton, more or less off the top of his head, said 5,000... Example:

In the case of Syria, Putin is right in saying that Assad had no motive for using gas, i.e. he was winning. Assad using gas would have to be some last-ditch, desperation move if he was facing total defeat. Worse, Tuesday's blogosphere was showing a claim that in the 15+ years since Sarejevo, a new wrinkle had been added to the game, i.e. the idea now may be, rather than killing 3000 or 5000 of your own people, to kidnap that many of the OTHER GUY'S people, and kill THEM:

http://wwwwakeupamericans-spree.blogspot.com/2013/09/syrian-children-kidnapped-by-rebels.html#.Ui9v0CxbgpG

To be making the kinds of statements Obama is making with this kind of info floating around all over the Internet is at least criminal ignorance and stupidity. At worst, and this is the only safe assumption, Obama simply wishes to take our nation into another war for some reason known only to himself, George Soros, and his other banker bosses, and has been less than careful or intelligent in devising a rationale. Similarly, there is evidence that the US operation in Libya two years ago amounted to Obama and Soros using the US military to perpetrate a bank robbery in broad daylight:

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/MD14Ak02.html

All of that, taken together, should be impeachable.

That's most likely true. As for the others - ooops!

Of course they’re against it. Any proposal to secure the chem stockpile would necessitate some sort of cease fire arrangements.

Too many parties are being asked instead of TOLD, “Here ARE the terms, OR ELSE”.

Primarily because nobody believes the “or else” component, thanks to our coward in chief.

I was only referring to King Barry’s favorite card game, not King Barry himself, so my comment isn’t racist.
