How do you know when an MSM member is pushing pro-Obama spin to the absurd? When even the most partisan of Dems, in the person of James Carville, can't stomach it.
On today's Morning Joe, Andrea Mitchell, claiming that the world was "coalescing" around Obama's position on Syria, said that there was "a lot of optimism" surrounding the Obama team's negotiations with the Russians. Mitchell said she had seen this kind of thing before back in the 80s, when the US negotiated arms control with the Soviet Union. "It starts slowly but things happen," comforted Mitchell. All this was too much for Carville, who forsaw a future in which the negotiations went on and on and led nowhere. Said Serpent Head: "I love Andrea and she's optimistic. God love her, I hope she's right. I'm a little more pessimistic."

Isn't she about 85 years old? I suspect when she and all the other ancient so-called "news" women see Baraq Hussein 0bama, they have post-menopausal hot flashes brought on by the "Mandingo" effect. I have no explanation for Chrissy Matthews though.
My guess is that it is all three, and has been that way for the last 67 years.
Mark..It’s not a big surprise to me. Carville is a life-long Clintonista. If Hillary is to win the nomination, and the WH..she will have a lot of “ ‘splainin’ to do”, about Benghazi, among other thing, and will soon need to start to distance herself from Obama...who better to start the process than the “Snake”

Andrea Mitchell and all “Lewinsky” media are always in “diaper” change posture for their baby Obama(AKA: “Dear Leader” in the North Korea sense of the term).
And on a related note... I would nominate “Dear Leader” as regards to Syria specifically, but really to all things (like the economy), for the 2013 “Pontius Pilate” award. When a crisis occurs that demands true leadership, President Obama washes his hands of all responsibility, and blames others (I dunno if Pilate played golf afterwards... but I will speculate he probably went on an expensive tax-payer funded vacation).

First off, during the Cold War the US held the moral high ground while Evil Empire was aggressively attacking counties with no provocation, while in this case Obama is rushing to attack a sovereign country based on what is best no proof and what is beginning to look like an false flag event staged to lure the US into a war much like the Tonkin Gulf affair sucked us into the war in Vietnam (hey, we can do Cold War analogies too, Andrea.)
While Obama's mis handling has ignited a Cold War brinkmanship type situation and put us into a direct confrontation with Russia (not the USSR- big difference) where the Russians are winning, The United States is still a global Super Power but Russia is not even remotely close to being a super power . Obama is no Ronald Reagan and Putin commands a country only a tenth the size of the fallen and now disbanded Soviet Empire that Brezhnev Commanded and Putin has less than a hundredth of the USSR's former awesome military power at his disposal .
As a brief review of just what the ominous Evil Empire was all about, back in the 1980s the Soviet Union, as opposed to just Russia, was a major rival Super Power that controlled all of Eastern Europe, much of Africa, was aligned with active fifth column Communist movement in the West. The Evil Empire's military was several times as large as that of the United States and had endless divisions of Warsaw Pact tanks ready at moments notice to storm Europe's Fulda Gap, millions upon millions of soldiers armed with Klashnikov assault rifles (the full automatic version of the rifle that is soooo deadly that banning even the semi auto versions is Obama's highest priority) massive number of SS-20 Nuclear missiles each with multiple MIRV nuclear warheads, Chemical and Biological weapons, a massive air force and a massive fleet of ballistic missile and fast attack submarines.
Today, The US is still major Super Power but the Evil Empire has disintegrated and fallen. It's member states have disbanded and Russia is a tiny fraction of the old the old Soviet Union and is so weak that until a few years ago could not even afford to sail it's Navy or fly it's 40 year old air force of obsolete aircraft.
The current with Obama is like that old picture of the beach bully kicking sand in the face of some scrawny 98 lb weakling guy in front of the girl friend he is dating, except that in this case Obama is the tall muscle bound beach guy who is getting sand kicked in his face by the scrawny little weakling guy who's rear end he could spank black and blue except he was suddenly afraid to.
The problem is that the beach is filled with 98 lb weaklings who are sick and tired of being lorded over by muscle bound beach bullies who see the weakness of the muscle bound beach bully and so they decide to take him on.
The muscle bound beach bully guy could probably take on 3or 4 of the 98 lb weaklings but at some point will be overwhelmed by repeated challenges from emboldened hostile 98 lb weaklings.
Obama has screwed the pooch so bad here it's really hard for most people to grasp.
By getting sand kicked in his face by a 98 lb weakling, Obama has just negated our massive military capability that we spend hundreds of billions of dollars a year to maintain.
God help us, because every tin pot dictator or jihadi is going feel free to take liberties with US and it's now open season on Americans for terrorists both at home and abroad. This fact is especially ominous given that Obama has spent the last 5 years giving not just sophisticated weapons and tens of Billions of dollars of financial support to al -Qaeda’s parent controlling organization, the Muslim Brotherhood, he has installed them in power and given them control of a number of strategically vital countries.
My Gawd, I didn’t think Carville could get any uglier, but....
Mitchell should stop beating this dead horse - obama is not going to utter another word about Syria or Putin the rest of his term.
