What want to know is....where in the Hell did the frog start from? Did it jump as the shockwave from the ignition hit? That’s one monster leap!

NASA has an Instagram account now and this is their latest photo. Should be a good follow if anyone here has an account. Or even knows what Instagram is.

I'm guessing that the frog was hanging out in the flame trough below the launch pad, and got shot out when the rocket motor ignited.

Hubby and I recently started watching Duck Dynasty. Just finished the 1st season on Netflix last night.

I wonder if the frog was just trying to get away from Phil?

Disney World used to have a ride called Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and my son loved it. Now that would have been one wild ride for that toad!

Good guess.

My guess is that the frog in question was frightened (duh) by the launch and leaped to (what he thought was) safety. However, since the LADEE was launched aboard a Minotaur V solid-rocket booster, and those things ignite rather explosively, the frog was caught in mid-leap by the shockwave of the blast. The frog just happened to be flying away to its doom when the camera snapped the picture at JUST the right time.
