W.H.: Obama deserves credit for any Syrian deal

By REID J. EPSTEIN | 9/12/13 3:05 PM EDT

President Barack Obama would deserve some credit if the Syrian crisis is ultimately resolved with the Assad regime relinquishing its chemical weapons, White House press secretary Jay Carney said Thursday.

“If we were to see a situation unfold where Assad were to give up his chemical weapons to international supervision that would be an enormous accomplishment and it would represent a wholesale change to where Syria and Russia were … three weeks ago,” Carney said.

“That would be due to the decisions made by the Russian leadership but also the decisions made by the United States, by the president, to take the approach he has taken in response to the horrifying use of chemical weapons on his own people.”

Carney’s statement comes after the White House has gone out of its way to say that Russia has invested his prestige in the Syrian conflict.

The country, Carney said, “has put its prestige and credibility on the line” in backing talks to remove chemical weapons from Syria.

Carney didn’t respond directly when asked if the prestige and credibility of the United States is also on the line.

all the credit Obama deserves is for “greasing up” before Putin stuck it to him.

“After uttering these words, Carney then returned his mouth to the president’s behind, where it stayed for the remainder of the briefing.”

I’m surprised Carney got hid head out of Obamas butt long enough to say anything. Carney seems to be enjoying the lies he’s handing us everyday. I would love to see carney behind bars with the Emperor of Community Organizing and Campaigning.

Carney reminds me of Chip Diller, the sneaky little Omega frat boy played by Kevin Bacon in “Animal House” - “REMAIN CALM!!! ALL IS WELL!!! ALL IS WELL!!!”

Why is this man smiling?

Probably because, in yet another report (Have we reached 1,000 already?), "White House: Putin 'Owns' World's Syria Strategy":

"Essentially, the White House is admitting that Putin is in charge and that America is following his lead. In other words, it is the Russian president driving American foreign policy, and America doesn't even have control over whether or not that policy succeeds or fails!"

... another place where you can see his cultural heritage. He reminds me of African countries and their scams.... before anything happens they have to be paid. You have to pay for roads, schools, give chiefs money..... before you have any success or profit.
That is a contributing factor to why they are so backwards.

Anyone who knows how liberals act would see this was a no-brainer. Putin throws Obama a lifeline. The narcissist Obama grabs it - and - surprise! - claims a huge victory. When it finally comes to light that Assad gave up little or nothing, Obama and the left will blame Putin. Meanwhile, the leftmedia gloats that Obama cleverly maneuvered his way out of a tough situation - that Obama generated with his off-teleprompter talk about ‘crossing red lines’. If there weren’t lives at stake this could rightfully be called a farce.
