There he goes again -- Russian President Vladimir Putin, portraying himself as the world's champion of peace and democracy. And, of course, doing it at America's expense.
This time, Putin's PR machine managed to get him an op-ed in The New York Times, just in time for the start of talks in Geneva, Switzerland, over a plan to dismantle Syria's chemical weapons arsenal. The column is so filled with hypocrisy, inaccuracies and even veiled threats that it's hard to know where to begin.
Putin chastises the United States, which has stumbled badly in Syria, for considering an attack because a strike "will result in more innocent victims and escalation." It could, he warns, "unleash a new wave of terrorism." He forgets to mention that tens of thousands of innocent victims in Syria have already died at the hands of President Bashar al-Assad's forces, which are armed, supported and supplied by Moscow.

This is a really big chess game with lots of moving pieces. And Obama is playing tiddlywinks.
Say what you will about Putin.
The fact is he is making Obama look like he belongs in grade school.........
No disagreement there. The community organizer against the former KGB head with now 10+ years of geo-political experience.
Bingo, took the words right out of my mouth....say what you will about Putin, he keeps bitch slapping HUSSEIN and HUSSEIN is too stupid to shut his damn mouth, the bitch slapping will continue.
obama have blood on his hand
putin was never head of kgb, he was low rank
Talk like caveman, save world.
The pundits seem to have adopted the “I know you are but what am I” method of debating Putin.
The people of this country on the other hand recognize what Putin is but feel no pride in the embarrassment our government has become.
The worst possible outcome for the U.S. is Obama learning from Putin how to do it . . . .
The column is so filled with hypocrisy, inaccuracies and even veiled threats that it’s hard to know where to begin.
That’s funny, the exact same thing could be said about Obama’s bungling statements.
OK, so what if everything the article says about Putin is true. It doesn’t change the fact that we have an incompetent president who is endangering our national security.
Putin is putting the national interest of Russia first.
Why don’t we do the same?
He is surely a hypocrite but he is a better international politician then the kenyan and a hell of a lot smarter.
For a moment, I thought he was talking about Obama.
Well Frida, 0bama doesn't have that problem.
Obama's name could be easily inserted in this headline. Remember Libya, Egypt, Benghazi and God Knows what other clandestine operations the Wons got his hands in/on?
I’d rather put the interests of the United States ahead of Russia. but hey if that what you want go right ahead
Why dont we do the same?
We should be putting the national interest of Russia first???
The Left would be all Luv and Kisses for Putin if he were to say nice old Bolshevik platitudes about Ocommie.
Now they hate him cuz he’s playing hard ball with the Al-Qaeda enabler. That’s all. Other then that, they have no problems with statists like Pooty Poot.
