Anti-human radical environmentalism continues to advance with no push back in sight.
Boulder, Colorado appears on the verge of passing a nature rights law, which give the birds and the bees, the flowers and the trees a putative right to life equal to our own. From the Denver Westword News story:
Natural wonder: Boulder County has a reputation for leading the state in matters of open space, animal rights, environmental protections and all-around tree-hugging. But next week may present the acid test for local officials greeniness.
On Wednesday, September 18, the county planning commission will listen to a presentation from staff and ponder whether to include a statement in the comprehensive plan declaring that Boulder County acknowledges the rights of all naturally occurring ecosystems and their native species populations to exist and flourish.
And the leader of Angola, of all places, wants to institute ecocide in his countrys laws. As the story notes, if he does, that poverty stricken nation can kiss any hopes of prosperity goodbye. From the Angencia Angola Press story.
The Angolan head of State José Eduardo dos Santos Wednesday in Luanda ordered the setting up of a Work Team to study and draft proposals for incorporation in the countrys legal system of the Ecocide Convention, Angop learned from an official source. Ecocide is defined as the destruction or degradation of various ecosystems in a certain territory, through human action or others, putting at stake the full development of the resources by the population
The story says the UN backs ecocide laws. Not yet. Doing so is under investigation, but that decision hasnt been made.
Of course, environmental protection is important. But theres a wrong and a right way to do it. When we raise nature to the status of a rights bearer, when we pass laws criminalizing not just major pollution but developmentwe are like the proverbial lemmings jumping off the proverbial cliff.
I get a different message from her sign. She is carrying a cross and has a picture of an unborn baby. I think her message is pretend the baby is a tree and you heathen tree huggers should care about the unborn more than a tree.
All the while supporting the right to kill 55,000,000 babies before of immediately after their birth. Makes sense to me /s
These people have way too much free time on their hands.
No, they use selective indignation.
It’s crystal clear to me that you’re correct PPM. The girl is just trying to bring a bit of sanity and morality to the crowd. She’s one of the good guys.
LOL! Serves ‘em right, because nearly everyone (all political parties) in some locales have robbed good ranchers and farmers of all that they had with false accusations and pretenses about animal rights. Enjoy Fido and the relatives.
Stop Michelle's Vegetable Thanatos now!
BTW, that’s not about the birds and the bees. They’re lying. It’s a lawyer party (liberaltarian) front to take the properties of its own suckups NIMBYs and soon enslave them, too. That’s the thanks that people get for helping the evil ones with mercantilism against their own countrymen with fake environmentalist and animal worship fronts in local-yocal meetings. Fascists eventually consume everyone.
Save the corn babies!

Well, and I also just noticed that her hat says PRO-LIFE. Not pro-tree.
“To claim to represent the rights of rocks is to project a subjective human impression of a rocks preferences onto rocks.”
Too kind, too understanding IMHO.
Usually what the wannabe “constituency representative” is actually doing is the age old ‘shuck & jive’ whereby virtue words of that day are used to cover plain old theft.
I happen to like using turquoise in silver jewelry, and was able to observe SW Indian jewelers like Fred Kabote. From them, I learned “The Soul of the Stone” and am therefore best qualified to represent turquoise.
Based upon that, I must protect all turquoise and make sure no turquoise is hurt by nasty, selfish miners who are deaf to the suffering their cruel mining inflicts upon the soul of the turquoise.
Therefore, my fellow commies - oops, make that environmentally aware/concerned Americans, call upon your CongressPersons to enact laws creating the Department of Turquoise Protection.
Oh, don’t forget to have ME appointed Turquoise Czar for Life.
I just spoke to my liberal niece, who lives in Boulder and Boulder, at this minute, is being washed away.
There is a difference in this case, wherein there is little to no direct pecuniary benefit to the taker beyond the sating of a whim.
Grass has rights too. It should never be cut.
Looks like a lot of fruits and nuts have moved to Boulder Colorado.
Ask them if they feel like a threat to the earth today. I’m 20 miles east of Boulder, we measured 4.5” of rain in the homer bucket in 24 hours.
