Boulder is a city full of nut bags. Let us not send them flood relief, because floods have a right to happen too.

Can they mow the lawn? Certainly they will kill some plants, flowers, insects. Does this mean all pest exterminators will have to close up shop? Driving a car will certainly murder many insects. If a rattlesnake takes up house inside your daughters room can he be removed? Will a house ever be able to be built? Can a lot be cleared for building that home? If a storm comes through the area can they clean up the fallen trees that are part of the natural environment Can they use antibiotics and kill bacteria. Will Lysol be available on the shelfs of the stores? To kill bacteria is to disrupt their ecosystem. Will they allow soap. Soap kills bateria by reducing surface tension on the surface of the bacteria in addition to having direct antibacterial activity. It looks like people with acne are out of luck.
Where does this end? When people abandon the area?
