Rand Paul Rips Booker, Praises Lonegan, Spares Christie

Paul accused Booker of having an “imaginary friend,” referring to a story in the conservative National Review magazine that questioned whether T-Bone — a drug dealer Booker frequently talks about in stories — was real. A 2007 Star-Ledger story also cast doubt on the character’s veracity.

“I’ve been reading a lot about Cory Booker’s imaginary friend and I wanted to come up there and see if New Jersey would elect real workers or someone with imaginary friends,” Paul said.

Booker and Lonegan are running in the special Oct. 16 election to fill the remaining year-and-a-half of the late U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg’s (D-N.J.) term.

Paul also bashed Booker for refusing to say how he’d vote on a resolution to aim strikes at Syria, and for being unclear about what he would do about the National Security Agency’s surveillance programs.

“You’ve got a Democrat candidate now who was against the war before he was for the war and seems to be a little uncertain where he is on the issue,” Paul said. “If you’re running for the Senate and you don’t have an opinion on the Syrian war, you have a confused opinion. I think that’s maybe an indication that you’re not ready.”

---

Paul — who in July called Christie the "king of bacon" for demanding Sandy aid — did not fault the governor for not taking a stance because he’s not running for federal office. And he said he’s not upset that Christie – who last month spurned an offer by Paul to have a beer together and settle their differences – would not attend the campaign events Friday.

“We’ll have a beer stein for him in case he shows up,” he said.

Cruz is a libertarian also.

And he chose the right mentor:

So keep your powders dry. I’m betting that Cruz will not run for president because of the eligibility issue and will endorse Rand.

Yes.....you are right!!! Christie has come out strong to support Steve Lonegan!!! Why? IMHO....i believe Christie believes that Londgan has a long shot chance to upset and defeat Cory “Obama Lover” Booker in the special U.S. Senate race being held in mid-October!!! Also...kudos & mucho thanks to Rand Paul to come NJ and campaign strongly for Steve Lonegan!!! Am ticked off that the RNC has not gone all out for Lonegan!!! Pubbie conservatives, get to NJ...stir up the pot, big time....and do what the good voters just did to two (2) deadbeat Democrat senators in Colorado, reacalling (firing) them!!! Lonegan does have a good shot...no matter what the Obamabot media says!!!!

Palin/Paul 2016

Ted Cruz - Sec of state

Ann Coulter - Press Secretary, until she has them whimpering in a corner, then move her to Attorney General

Walter Williams - Education

Thomas Sowell - Treasury

Ted Nugent - Sec of Defense (oh yeah!)

Koch Brothers (either one) Commerce

Donald Trump - HUD

ATF - Ted Nugentm - ATF (I change my mind - Col. West for Defense)

Fire ALL ‘czars’ and have Donald Rumsfeld give them a beating on the way out

I’m betting that Cruz will not run for president because of the eligibility issue and will endorse Rand.

Then Rand puts Cruz on the Supreme Court. Yeah, baby!

Paul was on Hannity last night. Hannity kept pushing for whether Paul would endorse Christie or not. After some jibber-jabber about beer, etc, Paul finally said he hopes Christie wins his race. A slightly medium step-back from the ‘bacon’ comments previously.

Sean is the WORST, a true (R) cheerleader regardless of outcomes. His hounding that he does, usually from left field during an interview, really gets in my craw.

I’m sure Paul just wanted to put it to bed, having never to deal w/ the Great White Whale again...just Sean pipes up for ‘his friend(s)’.

Otherwise, I’m sure Paul would wipe the floor w/ blubber-butt and not break a sweat.

Booker is the VP of Hillary’s ticket. Christie needs to beat that up.
