McCain to parry Putin N.Y. Times op-ed with one for Pravda

(Reuters) - U.S. Senator John McCain will submit an opinion piece to the Russian newspaper Pravda in response to an op-ed on Syria in The New York Times by Russian President Vladimir Putin that infuriated many members of Congress, a spokesman said on Friday.

"Senator McCain is glad to take them up on the offer and will submit a piece," said Brian Rogers, a spokesman for the senior Republican senator, one of the leading congressional voices on international affairs.

The announcement came a day after the venerable U.S. newspaper published a Putin commentary in which the Russian leader painted himself as a peacemaker and lectured Washington for what he called a tendency to use "brute force" in international politics.

Putin writes for the NYT, McCain writes for Pravda.
What is the difference......nothing.

Chit.

DeMint took care of it already. Just shut up McCain, please.

What happened to letting your opponent keep digging the hole?

McCain, aren't there Democrats who will step up to defend Obama?

Where's Chuck Schumer? He's presumably the most powerful Democrat.

Why are you letting Schumer and Reid play you the way that Putin is playing Obama?

Sit down, shut up, and let the Democrats go on record defending Obama.

How did this become YOUR job?!?

If John McCain writes a rebuttal to Putin’s op-ed, won’t the Russian people conclude that Obama is incapable of writing an effective reply himself?

Which is probably the case, since how much better could Obama’s written words be than his rambling, incoherent speeches? And, of course, John McCain isn’t exactly Winston Churchill either.

The Russian people will get a good laugh out of all this, one way or the other.

McCain, don’t bother. Jim DeMint already did.

The Russians should conclude Obama doesn’t have an advisor competent to reply.

I'll take Putin and Pravda over McCain and the NYT.
Sadly.

Oh good heavens. How about Rand Paul instead of McCain? You know - an actual freedom-loving American.

You want Rand Paul to write in a Russian newspaper that he agrees with the Russian President and not Obama? You must have a death wish for Rand Paul's political career, because that's probably the closest thing to a proposed political act of suicide I have ever heard of.

There’s a time and a place for attacking Obama, and the pages of Pravda are not it

Yes, I'll just bet he is.

The editors must be downing the vodka in anticipation. "Hey comrades, it's a 2-fer!"

Pretty sure Paul wouldn’t write that he agrees with Putin. But whatever you say.

Oh, this is awful. Does John McLame know that Pravda’s newspaper circulates about 100,000?

Another good one is

ot like hot wings with hot chocolate in hell
cold like in my isolation cell in the winter while kissing mr freeze
take the weather man and blow him away
hey hey
love is a desert and i need it to rain
you are so good at keeping me company

you are relating to a psychopath
your role model is in therapy
you must be real far gone
you are relating to a psychopath

noahs elephants are leaving the ark in eights
during the upside of my manic depessive state
crickets sing in 3 part harmony

i try to walk away i choke and i stumble
i’m flying back so listen close when muble
that you are soo good at keeping me company.

CHORUS
you are relating to a psychopath
your role model is therapy
you must be real far gone
you are relating to a psychopath
