Colorado Dems: "It's about voter suppression"
Townhall.com ^ | September 14, 2013 | Bob Beauprez

Democrats apparently can never just loose an election.  Something sinister, even illegal, must be the reason. "I'm not sure what happened," former State Senator Angela Giron told the Denver Post the morning after she was trounced in a first of its kind recall election in Colorado.  Now, she's got a different story – voter suppression.

Angela Giron lost her Senate District 3 seat in Pueblo, Colorado in a recall election last Tuesday by more than 12 points, 56.0% to 43.9%.   This is particularly stunning as hers is a district composed of nearly 50% registered Democrats. Barack Obama won the district by nearly 20 points in 2012 – just ten months ago.

But, as you'll see in the CNN video below, Giron is completely unwilling to accept the fact that the voters of her district rejected her for her support of the anti-Second Amendment legislation she championed in the 2013 session of the Colorado legislature.  According to the Denver Post, 20 percent of the voters who signed the recall petition were registered Democrats volunteering that Giron had become "arrogant and difficult to work with."  That observation seems abundantly clear in the CNN interview below.

Giron Voter Suppression

Voter suppression has become a favorite mantra of the Democrat Progressive left.  As with a lot of their emotional arguments, however, the facts don't support their argument.  For more, see A Line of Sight.comcontributing editor Brian Anderson's recent article, "Straight Talk about Voter I.D. Laws."

knot many profesionalls hear.
Did you ever see the study that people with superior brains can read meanings of words with only the first and last letters correct?
Like we don’t have more to worry about than spelling....What about important things like punctuation?? :-)

I punctuated parenthetical phrase in my sentence correctly.

When people on this site use poor grammar, we become easy targets for those on the left who want to discredit us. I sometimes wonder if some of the really poor grammar of some online posts on this and other fora is intentionally posted by trolls to discredit our side. I really hate seeing posts with which I agree having such obvious grammatical and spelling errors.

The one I HATE even worse is flipping “then/than”. I’ve seen it in newspaper articles, professionally type set novels, instruction sheets, magazines, and God knows where else. Then is a time; than is a choice. How effing hard is that?

That's also one of my pet peeves. There's another website which I frequent where that error is made rather frequently. It's one thing when foreign members for whom English is not a first or even second language make that mistake, but it's really depressing when native English speakers with bachelors or higher degrees make that mistake. Quite frankly this and other errors should have been corrected by sixth grade.

They should, however it wouldn’t show as a misspelled word with a spellcheck

English is my second language and I have sometimes trouble with the correct punctuation. I am not always sure when to apply a semi-colon.

Mostly it's used to replace a period to make a compound sentence out of what could have been two independent sentences.

True, but it's important to know the difference in the spelling of the two words and to have others proofread articles before posting them online, especially on news websites. I tried to find where to contact Townhall.com about the spelling error, but I couldn't find a contact other than for advertising.

I’ve seen a lot of that particular mistake. Usually not in published articles though.

“Stop suppressing Dead Voters” would be a great petition to get leftist college students to sign.
