Of course it is, Professor Miller is quite niggardly for even positing such a notion.

These F-word using blacks will be grandly out of step when this screw up of an administration has been swept away by history. Suddenly it won’t be cool to (openly) play the fool.

I’ve never used it, and I can’t imagine using it. Still, I do believe in freedom of speech.

Must the world rename the Niger River and the country of Niger? Nigeria?
All of the above and the words under discussion ALL have the same derivation!
Grow up people!

If so, I’ll take watermelon & chicken!
I’ll keep cracker & honky.
Do I need to buy a vowel?

Can we still use the word niggardly ?You ain't joking, There was a case of a teacher who used it, got spanked by the administration and the courts. It's forbidden in school (self-censorship as in the latter day Communist countries), because the willfully ignorant descendants of cannibals might object.

I have removed myself from any dealings with the “black community” or culture. I have come to the conclusion that the vast majority can not or will not advance themselves. I could go on, but then I would be accused of speaking racism....instead of speaking the truth.

Colored has found the same fate.Which begs the question,
if "Person of color" is good, doesn't it follow logically that "Colored person" is also good?

Yes it IS! It's a word. One of the goals of PC is to distort/disrupt the language. Bad is good, good is bad was an early example.
Now is it of use in a polite society? That enters a realm where society still held moral values.

My mother was born in the 1800s in Arkansas and ni-— was the only word she ever knew to call them. It was just a name to her like “French” or “Irish” would be.
I never used that word as a child or adult and I don't know why. My word while young was “colored”, that seemed to be the word to use in those days. I remember when “black” started being used and I thought that was worse than “colored” as I thought that name was fine. I didn't like the way “black” sounded, it was harsh and black seemed to put emphasis on the “black”.
I remember “African American” for a while, too. There was a period when I didn't know what word to use, except don't use ni-—.
Confusing - guess we should ask Rev. Sharpton every week which word to use. At least we don't have to worry about Hussein - just use Muslim.
