FReeper "blackie" (the name he used here on earth)
is a US Navy vet.

Rest in Peace, Blackie.

Wow...Way back when I was a real newbie, he first replies I ever received to anything I posted on FR were from blackie and OldAtlanta...both now gone.

blackie was always there on the Oregon board calling our attention to all the gun issues that were happening.

I only knew blackie by name recognition, but I was struck by the fact that the first item on blackie’s profile page is Scripture by the Lord Jesus Christ:

Jesus said:
“When these things begin to come to pass,
then look up, and lift up your heads,
for your redemption draweth nigh.” - -
(Luke 21:28)

Instantly, another Scripture came to my mind:

“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” 1Cor 13:12

Then I began to review blackie’s posts and soon I encountered another Scripture quoted by blackie (on a Tim Tebow thread):

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

It had been an instant reply to the previous post by Licensed-To-Carry who said:

“John 14:6 is the key verse in the whole Bible, it’s as simple as that.”

I feel great joy for blackie that he now abides with his Redeemer and Lord Jesus, face to face, and I pray that knowledge comforts his family and friends in his physical absence from them.

PS: In my mind’s eye, I am also beginning to see a Freeper contingent in heaven and look forward to meeting, face to face, so many wonderful, precious, and kindhearted Freepers I may never be privileged to meet here on earth.
