WASHINGTON - President Obama says a tumultuous month as commander in chief, when his policy toward Syria took a number of unexpected turns, may not have looked "smooth and disciplined and linear," but it's working.
"I'm less concerned about style points. I'm much more concerned with getting the policy right," Obama told ABC's George Stephanopoulos in an exclusive interview on "This Week."
Obama said his surprise announcement on Aug. 31 that he would seek congressional authorization for U.S. military strikes against Syria, then the abrupt cancellation of a vote this week and pursuit of a diplomatic plan led by the Russians, has put the country "definitely in a better position."
"My entire goal throughout this exercise is to make sure what happened on Aug. 21 does not happen again," the president told Stephanopoulos of the large-scale chemical weapons attack outside Damascus that he said killed more than 1,400 civilians.

No, Mr. Pres__ent, You ensure it does happen again.. and who knows where.
‘Gaffe Diplomacy’ is no way to run a shop, yaknow.
Obama said he is optimistic but cautious that Putin will be a reliable partner.
“I don’t think that Mr. Putin has the same values that we do,” Obama said in response to Putin’s controversial op-ed.
How perceptive of him.. Did that come to him during a golf round?
Let me be clear: Aside from his Marxist, Islamist, Black empowerment agenda, he is ONLY concerned about political style points.
Right...our values are not the same. Our children are at the mercy of faggots!!
Wrong, Obozo! With you it’s all about style:
nar·cis·sism (när s -s z m) also nar·cism (-s z m). n. 1. Excessive love or admiration of oneself.
“My entire goal throughout this exercise” was to shed responsibility.

(and I did do a search first)
Even the Marxist, Islamist and Black Empowerment agendas are all about the style points.
In any debate, failure to enter even one iota of supporting data, while using high rhetoric, eventually means the debate is lost. But if for only a few moments, you can get all the fools on your side, then kick over the debate table, you have the majority with a quick show of hands. Only when the table is righted is the falsity of the argument revealed.
A lie can fly around the world twice while the truth is still pulling on boots.
All Hail The No Fault No Style No Substance Pres__ent to the World!
Obama spin on steroids is now playing a very dangerous Hokey Pokey
Put your right hand in
Take your right hand out
You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself about...
That what it's all about.
...I don't think he is fooling anyone, certainly not Putin...
You have openly and nakedly exposed your amatuerism and sheer idiocy.
We are in a Kafka world. Obama supports the role of Putin in the Syrian civil war; Russia will keep Assad in power and maintain supplying him with unlimited conventional weapons while U.S. agreed that they will no attack Syria under any circumstances, even though the accord for the disposal of the chemical weapons is a charade and complete embarrassment for the prestige of the United States role as first world power.
Many of those who support Obamas involvement on the Syrian civil war are the same people who were opposed to the Iraq war, even though Syria is not a menace to the U.S. and it is a civil war among Muslims in which one band is as evil as the other.
To further their agenda those who want to involve U.S. in another Middle Eastern war are using as an emotional argument that Assad killed with chemical weapons over 1,400 civilians, most of them children according to the pictures. (According to the French intelligence, the dead were about 300 and the French leftist organization working in Syria, Physicians without Frontiers, put the dead count over 400.)
The problem is that the picture they are using was posted by the BBC and they had to retire it when the photographer who took the photo saw it on the BBC web site, it was taken on Iraq in 2003 when Saddam Hussein murdered with chemicals weapons more than 5,000 Kurds in a single day!
Even though BBC retired the picture, the fake photo was edited and all TV news programs keep posting it as proof of the horrendous crimes against humanity committed by the butcher of Bagdad. Obama, and those supporting the involvement of U.S. on Syrias civil war on humanitarian grounds, prefer to ignore that they kept silent when Assad last year used chemicals weapons in Syria and when he murdered with conventional weapons more than 100,000 of his own people.
It is unconscionably that Obama had not shown the same humanitarian concern for the lives of the Christians, since Obama took power, more than one million Christians have been massacred all around Africa and their churches set on fire by Muslims while Obama, the United Nations, and the rest of the world, kept a thundered silence.
Obama = epic fail. Worst president ever!
One hopes that the alleged "news" media will ask if for this "renewed partnership", Mister Obama might have made any agreements with, or concessions to Mister Putin that have not been made public.
My huge hope is nyet.
“It is unconscionably”
Sociopaths are unable to feel remorse, guilt or shame. In other words, they lack a normal objective conscience like the rest of us (universal moral imperatives) but do have a `democrat’s subjective conscience’: “Man is the measure of all things.”
Perfect. I declared right here in this space during his rambling wreck of a speech last week he’s using hair relaxer. I ain’t joshing.
I’m thinking that we just witnessed the first metrosexual war planning process - both Obama and Kerry....
“Some people think they are gay, but they are actually metrosexual.”
More wars means more weapons sales.. Plus, pipelines need right of ways.. And they say selling a woman’s body is the oldest profession..
“...How perceptive of him.. ...”
A veritable genius of intellect, dontcha think???
