MOSCOW, September 15 (RIA Novosti) A Russian state TV host has invited US Senator John McCain to take part in his show and discuss his stance on Syria.
Popular Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov said Sunday that the Republican senator known for his critical views on Russias leadership can appear in his show to respond to President Vladimir Putins recent article in the New York Times on Syria.
On our behalf, the broadcaster and myself invite Senator McCain, who wanted to respond to Putins letter to the Sunday Night program, Solovyov said on Sunday.

If the Rooskies REALLY want to make heads spin, they should invite Palin to speak.
We got whipped on this one. There’s no way to save face on this. Our politicians should just drop it and wait for it to leave the news cycle.
So the Russian people get to watch raving senile looney slobber and drool on himself?
Great way to represent America.
If the Russians want a truely memorable show, they should invite Joe Biden.People here can’t understand him, what chance would the Russians hae?
McNut on Alyosha Springerov Show? Would love to see it!
You know the Russians are enjoying this.
Do we REALLY want this grinning nutcase to be the face of America that Russia sees???!?
I'm sure they are confidant McCain will make America look stupid while antagonizing the average Joseph Russian. Palin would do neither.
What did the Russians ever do to us to merit Juan McStain on their TV?
It will be comedy hour.
Maybe we can sell it as a pilot for a new fall sitcom, McCain's Navy!!
I believe his sense of importance would shield him from realizing anything of the sort, and the US press would be loathe to spoil his usefulness to them by letting him in on the joke.
Best laugh of the day.
Can you imagine a duo? Skerry and Bidum? *shudder*
“OK Ivan, let it roll ..... “
“So, senator. The bad guys here who killed our children, they’re just some of the people you Americans are arming and supporting in Syria, da?”
The MSM would welcome McCain to do this. It would take pressure off their master Obama.
Yes, of course. However the truth is there for everyone else to see.
kind of like when jane fonda went to Hanoi, don't you think..??
Who’s “we” Kemosabe?
Yes, I thought the McCain’s Navy show would be something I’d like to watch (in horror - like a train wreck)
Talk about an unbelievably small shot across the bow.
It would be a win-win.
For those who never watched that particular ‘Rocky’ movie, I'll just say that Apollo's loss was humiliating.
That was an awesome SCTV skit.
“Look! America fits three times...THREE TIMES!...in mother Russia!”
“Ooooh! Loook! Demitri has new pair of shoes!” (Focus on Demitri’s new black wingtips. No socks.)
When a reporter asked Grimes, What should the U.S. response to Syria be with the use of chemical weapons on their citizens? she answered:
Well first and foremost, my thoughts and prayers go out to the thousands of women, children, innocent civilians that have suffered at the hands of this regime right now. I had the chance to visit with many of our men and women in uniform that are in the Middle East last year and before we get involved in an open-ended conflict I do think its important, as Secretary Kerry pointed out this morning, that we consult with our military leaders as to how best we can help in that region. The last thing that I would want to do is to get Kentuckians involved in an open-ended conflict with no exit strategy. So Im monitoring Secretary Kerrys, what his position has been. His meetings that hes having right now with our military leaders and hopeful that we can have a positive resolution, especially for the innocent civilians that are suffering right now,
When the reporter asked her to clarify her view on the U.S.’s role in foreign affairs, it didn’t get much better:
Well, Ill tell you, we have a lot of problems to take care of right here in Kentuckys own backyard and thats where my priority and focus has been. But we also have to be cognizant of the impact that we have across the nation. But my priority is making sure were tackling the problems here at home, while making sure that the efforts we get involved with abroad, that we are not needlessly taking thousands of Kentuckians who have the privilege and honor to get to know and get to meet in the Middle East and involving them in conflicts that are open-ended. Thoughts and prayers go out to those, not just in Syria, but in Egypt as well and mindful and watchful of Secretary Kerrys efforts to involve the United States, she said.
