Police say four people and one officer have been shot at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday morning.
Police are looking for the shooter. He is described as a black male with a dark complexion, approximately 5'10" to 6 feet tall, 170 pound with a black shirt and black hat, according to CBS affiliate WUSA. He is believed to be barricaded somewhere and have multiple guns.

Did you ever live around New Orleans? There’s some AA’s there that are whiter than me so maybe the description is needed. Maybe if it was a white guy they’d have to give descriptions of “bright white” or slightly “pinkish white”. Just sayin’. And certainly nothing hateful involved in this incident. “Merely” ethnic intimidation.

Fox still saying one gunman but other sources like NBC and Wash Post say 2 or 3.

Several reports are saying 2 or 3 gunmen, one of whom has been taken down. Don’t know if he has been shot dead or injured.
Do hope they wasted him, too.
Fox just reported that the shooter was using a M-16 with three shot auto bursts.
Not your standard AR-15.
Maybe this can prompt some useful media discussion about the difference in semi and full auto.
