California poised to become first state to impose full ban on lead bullets

California is on the verge of becoming the first state to impose a full ban on hunting with lead bullets -- with environmentalists and gun-rights advocates squaring off as Gov. Jerry Brown decides whether to sign the legislation.

The state already has a ban on lead-bullet hunting in eight counties with an endangered condor population. But the new proposal, overwhelmingly approved this month by the Democrat-controlled General Assembly, would impose a statewide ban on all hunting.

“There is no safe level of lead for human consumption,” said bill sponsor and state Assemblyman Anthony Rendon, a Los Angeles-area Democrat.

If he’s talking about ingesting lead via projectiles, he’s probably right.

If he’s talking about lead in the environment, the imbecile is probably unaware that every human being who’s ever lived has had some concentration of lead in their bodies. But as Paracelsus noted over 500 years ago, it’s the dose that makes the poison, and for the vast majority of humans, that dose of lead is of no consequence, and the use or nonuse of lead bullets will have no significant effect on it at all.

It’s likely that most Californians are against this and many other edicts by their perverted government, but all most of these drones see are “D’s” in front of their eyes on Election Day.

The mental disconnect is total.

So lead has become a truly precious metal.

Maybe we can use silver, like the Lone Ranger, or depleted uranium, which packs even more of a wallop?

The value of a lead slug is that it carries a great deal of kinetic energy. The larger the caliber, the more damage it does.

But a very small caliber slug, at sufficiently high velocity, and even of non-lead composition, can carry a sufficient punch to do at least as much damage. A .223 Magnum (4,600 fps muzzle velocity) is not a varmint gun.

Does that mean after a gang shooting, some California official will inspect the scene for illegal lead bullets?

Maybe now, the state will actually go after gang members for something, since they haven’t been going after them for, well, “real” crimes.

I am sick of this. Anyone wonder if we even have a tipping point?

Accept three things:

Their goal is to enslave us.
They will not stop until that goal is achieved.
No amount of lobbying, letters, phone calls or going hat in hand to liberal courts will stop it. Nor will going to the GOP on bended knee asking our lords to defend us.

Do we have a Constitution, or don’t we?

The good news is that the use of lead will be permissible during the 2nd American Revolution.

Sorry but not here in CA. Demographics, and other factors, have moved us HARD Left. Even in 2010 CA went mega Blue with, of course, last year eliminating the GOP as a political force of any measure. No. CA is full on Socialist for generations to come.
