Couldn’t keep a toe hold on his merchandise and that’s the Achilles heal in any business.

And now he’s ankle deep in poop.

Here in NJ fleamarkets are a big part of the growing “underground economy”; we’ve seen state police locking people up for either stolen or counterfeit goods (while vendors on the other side scramble to load their stuff into their vans and bolt as word spreads).

Americans sell their household items and tools to the Hispanics that will move into their foreclosed homes and work those jobs under the table. Groceries are now sold in the shadow of the big mall next to Giants Stadium that never opened even though it was completed a few years ago (complete with indoor ski slope). A harbinger of what awaits the rest of the country...

This is shocking news! I didn’t know that Hanes made socks. (Just underpants and undershirts).

Back around thirty years ago, right after moving, my wife and I had a yard sale to get rid of stuff that didn't fit. A local cop arrived at opening time and looked over my shoulder as I was making change and selling stuff. I was annoyed at the time, but he apparently sensed that we were okay and took off.

Here in Virginia: flea markets with stolen goods, bootleg everything, 40% hispanic purchasers, 20% hispanic vendors but growing rapidly, expired and damaged groceries, and, on the plus side, fresh produce from local farms. It’s also a good place to pick up collectible gold and silver after people drop it off for melt price.

They were afraid that they might run out of socks. Now they can sleep peacefully knowing that they’ll have enough socks for the next 500 years.

A lot of our vendors are Asian (Orientals) for new stuff, and American-Americans for used stuff (the “junk rows”, where I find a lot of the camping/militaria I like). Customers are probably 40% white, 40% Hispanic, 15% black, 5% Asian (Oriental).
