President Obama's approach to the use of chemical weapons in Syria may not have won any "style" points, but it's gotten the job done, the White House argued Tuesday.
"The positions the president took ... helped produce the result that we see today," which includes "at the possibility" of not needing to use military response to respond to Bashar Assad's regime, press secretary Jay Carney told reporters. "That's far more significant than, you know, assessments about how it looked as it unfolded."

Everyone knows the admin fell ass-backwards into this “deal.”. Anyone with sense is also aware it has no hopes of being fulfilled.
OK, so Kerry says that something is impossible, Putin makes it happen, and Obama takes credit. Got it.
That is preposterous. Appearances and impressions are HUGE when it comes to foreign affairs and policy. ESPECIALLY when you are dealing with the Middle East. Sheesh, what a bunch of amateurs. This is the most pathetic excuse I have heard coming from this white house.
Obviously not, Obama was elected to a second term.
Uh, but in both instances, you have nothing to do with either.

Double plus ungood indeed.
If results matter, then why do we keep funding balied energy schemes hatched by Obama?
he keeps saying we have to try. Well we did, and we failed.
It ain’t gettin any better, pal
Surrender over style.
How in the world can anyone in the world ever take you guys seriously again ?
Back when Bush was prez, liberals were like teenage girls embarrassed by Dad at the mall. But now style doesn’t matter?
Shouldn’t style matter when they told us we’d be amazed by the cool genius of “smart diplomacy”? I think I detect goalposts being moved.
They were supposed to redeem us from the embarrassment of the Bush years, but instead we get Putin doing donuts in Obama’s front yard (to quote Mark Steyn quoting Iowahawk).
