Thats why it used to be typical to hold those at the top responsible for crimes regardless of the paper trail.

Unless of course those at the top are from the protected political class.

We are headed down a very very dangerous path.

Agree. Political corruption, no societal standards, moral decay, and economic proflagcy. Not looking good at all.

I hope this is grounds for impeachment!

AND grounds for abandoning the IRS, and rewriting the tax code.

Boner will never allow the historic first young "smartest ever" black and white pResident to be impeached. His spine is made of jelly.

The only answer for this is a few perp walks on the 6 o’clock news. If a few go to prison, you will find whistle blowers will fight to the front of the line to tell on their boss forcing them to persecute political entities. I can’t believe there have been no arrests, not even a firing, yet on this scandal. Can you imagine the scandal if a Repub went after Soros, ACLU, or Naral?

Every MSM outlet in the USA would be writing articles of outrage if the IRS - under a Republican President - had done this to liberal groups.

Shame on the press ...

One of the articles of impeachment against Richard Nixon concerned his misuse of the IRS to target political enemies. And that misuse pales in scope and scale in comparison to what Obama and his minions have done. Conservatives should be trumpeting that fact from every rooftop.

How about sending arms to terror groups, is that impeachable?

We have enough prison space for all the corruption in DC?

I would think. Meets the Article III, Section 3 definition of treason.

It’s one of many possible grounds for impeachment: abusing the IRS (one of the counts prepared against Nixon), Reportergate, the NSA scandal, Fast and Furious, and perhaps more important, running arms to known terrorists.

But nobody will press any of these issues.

“As prominent politicians publicly urged the IRS to take action on tax-exempt groups engaged in legal campaign intervention activities, the IRS treated tea party applications differently,” the staff report concludes. “Applications filed by tea party groups were identified and grouped due to media attention surrounding the existence of the tea party in general.”

That finding contradicts Democrats on Capitol Hill, who argue that some liberal groups also were given special scrutiny, thus showing there was neither a witch hunt for conservatives nor political pressure from the White House.

Looks like democrats were lying for their friends in the IRS...

However, they did it anyway. Funny how criminal activity flourishes when there are no consequences. Lots of good sturdy lightpoles and rope needed...
