BETHESDA, Md. — A pro-gun control group has slammed Texas Gov. Rick Perry for “inappropriate timing,” calling it “callous” for him to visit a Beretta USA gun factory just two days after a mass shooting left a dozen innocent people dead at the nearby Washington Navy Yard.
“It’s callous that Gov. Perry… would show so little sensitivity,” to victims the Navy Yard rampage, said Jenifer Pauliukonis, Maryland head of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
“Listen, there’s always anti-gun individuals,” Perry responded, asked about the criticism after meeting with business leaders and top Maryland Republicans at Morton’s steakhouse in Bethesda, in suburban Washington. “The fact is, I’m a pro-Second Amendment guy. Texas is a pro-Second Amendment state. Beretta has been a great manufacture in Maryland and they feel not only under-appreciated, they feel under attack.”

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense has a huge reservoir of funding, likely from Bloomberg and Soros, and almost certainly in the millions of dollars.
Soros alone, since 2000 has given at least $550 million through his Open Society organization.
This has nothing to do with “free speech”. This is buying public policy that opposes the US constitution.

Doesn’t Jenifer Pauliukonis have even a shred of decency? The victims haven’t yet been laid to rest, yet there she is front and center, pimping her political hot button in the press, as a way of saying, “Hey, everybody, look at me!”.
Unlike normal people who are horrified by the violence that can be inflicted by a madman, people like Jenifer Pauliukonis relish such occasions, becoming energized and enthusiastic whenever such a tragedy occurs, as they rush to make a big stink, just to get their name in the paper.

The Texas governor has nothing to do with choosing school textbooks. If you lived in Texas you could run for the State board of Education, or help get liberals tossed out and good conservatives elected to the SBoE at the next election. I believe they are the ones who make these types of decisions.
