Watch the DAMNED VIDEO before you side with this “doughnut muncher.” He let the situation get out of control by virtue of his poor handling. Where is his backup? Never showed up during the filming. This turd evidently is used to abusing kids at the local high school, and was woefully under trained to deal with a routine traffic stop! Then don’t you just love the Chief. “While the officer isn’t in trouble and did nothing wrong, we’ve put him on paid leave while we investigate!” Huh? So if he’s clearly not guilty of anything, why is there even an investigation? What a moron. It’s always the same story, they are all Sgt. Schultz!
I watched the video. It began with the driver on the ground in cuffs, her dad who showed up and got involved and was cuffed and lying on the ground. A teenager who I think is the driver’s son appears to have showed up on a foot powered scooter and was lying on the ground not cuffed.
The officer had his taser out and was in a heated discussion with the driver and her dad....no punches were thrown nor did I see anything in the story or video alleging any force being used or injuries to the driver, dad or teenager.
We have people angry about being stopped, bystanders apparently inserting themselves in what the story described as a simple traffic stop, and a lone officer dealing with three people, two of which appeared to be emotionally out of control.
Looking at the entire video I don’t see any crime committed by the cop or any excessive force.
I think he may have been able to put his taser away earlier but really...is that such a big deal? He didn’t taser the guy and torture him or anything....he pointed at the guy who was handcuffed on the ground and was continuing to be out of control emotionally.
I will continue to reserve final judgment until I hear or see what occurred prior to the cell phone video started rolling....but as of right now I don’t see anything terrible other than an adult man and woman screaming at the top of their lungs for attention.
