Skip to comments.Obama admin: Boehner has ‘Putin envy’

President Obamas spokesman said Thursday that Speaker John A. Boehner suffers from Putin envy, after the speakers office criticized Mr. Obama in a video for being more willing to negotiate with the Russian president than with House Republicans.
The video, I thought, demonstrated a little Putin envy, a little odd bit of Putin envy, on behalf of the speaker, but maybe he can explain that, said White House press secretary Jay Carney.

Obama has dicktator envy.
Jay Carney has been offering his own opinions quite freely these days.
One thing is for sure, the phrases “statesman-like” and “Obama administration” are never used in the same breath.
Though leftists are masters of projection, this statement leads me to believe that the Obama admin is such a sycophantic echo chamber that they may actually not know that Putin emasculated bammy on the world stage.
Smarmy little SOB.
Has there ever been a less presidential administration?
Obama has Bush envy!
Even the crack heads want him gone now....They were liven better before and dont like the invasive health care.....I expect any day an announcement that they are exempt.
This Putin thing is really hurting the Punk and his minions.
AGREED. Also that this “Putin envy” remark has to be about the most immature and divisive comment of late. Especially when Putin has so successfully filleted 0bama of late.
His opinions must match those of Obastard’s, because if they didn’t he’d have been reined in by now. They’re both snarky pr**ks.
Putin freely lives inside odongo’s head having totally free reign even to the refrigerator and the wide one.
Perhaps Carney can explain why Obama is so scared of Putin? He’s been kissing his ass since the ‘flexible” faux pax.
I didn’t know Kerry could carry that much weight.
Daffy Duck and Yosemite Sam have more substance and sincerity than Obozo and Bonehead.
Bumping and linking to thhis outstanding article just FReeped...
Did you say that with Nero's hand shoved up your ass or did you come up with that all by yourself?
Careful what you wish for . . . .
tweet that over to firstname.lastname@example.org
Carney sure isnt Obama-footing around with comments like that.
Careful what you wish for . . . .
I’m reminded that for over 50 years - Russian tried to dominate the US. From before WWII to after the fall of the Berlin Wall - Communist russia tried to “bury” us.
The failed, of course.
But now? Now it seems they have picked up on a course of action that will suceed in overtaking the US. And as we are running as hard as we can at failure - Russia seems to understand what a successful country must do.
I hope they win.
You hope they win, huh? Then it would probably best if you guy a ticket to Moscow and leave.
You missed the obvious points I was making. I guess I could elaborate and post a 500 word essay on why I hope America fails with its FUBO agenda and why Russia succceds with its anti-gay and anti immigrant policies, but you would probably miss those points too.
If you only realized how idiotic that image is . . . if you don’t, then the U.S. deserves someone like Putin. And I’ll laugh at the conservatives who helped pave the way.
Yeah. Feel free to post your essay from the Gulag.
Even with who we have in the White House today?
I don't think there's anything wrong with wishing we had a President that actually had an agenda that benefits the very country he represents.
You’re Putin me on!
I’m not Putin any trust in this administration or you, Jay.
When Obama vacations on our dime he’s Putin on the Ritz.
Who is Putin Bernanke up to this QE foolishness, Jay?
I could go on all day, but you get the idea.
Careful, now. Are you wishing for a “real” President, or Vladi?
It's only normal that a nation's leader is going to put his country first in any negotiation. With Obama we are vulnerable. Putin's not the only leader that puts his nation first, they all do... except our President.
Obama hates America as much as, if not more than Putin. It's obvious.
True, if it's in Putin's interest is very unlikely it's in OUR interest but if it's in Obama's interest I KNOW it's not in OUR interest.
We are in a pickle.
Not Putin envy, more like Putin regret; in that, it is regretful that the voters in the US would elect a president who is much closer ideologically to Putin than he is to a moderate republican. It is regretful that he is more willing to negotiate with Putin than he is with the Speaker of the House.
Exactly! Well said.
Obama is to the left of today’s Vietnam.
From a logical standpoint, the preference for one over the other is mystifying.
LOL, that’s hilarious
It sure is.
Lost in all this is how Boehner continues to move heaven and earth for his BFF Obama despite the insults and abuse. I think we know what Obama found in Johnny’s FBI file.
I prefer Obama. He is an incompetent wanna-be tyrant.
Putin is a competent wanna-be tyrant. He’d already be a full-blown tyrant, but it will take time to rebuild the Gulag Archipelago, the NKVD, and find his own Beria to run it all.
The competent one will implement the tyranny sooner and much more securely than the incompetent one, with much less chance of failure.
So between the giant douche and the turd sandwich, I guess I’d have to go for the giant douche.
Hard to argue with that. I highly doubt we’d enjoy life under Putin’s able thumb.
Obama has CHILD envy. He proves it every freaking day and that smug piece of crap he has for a spokesperson fits him perfectly.
I’m no fan of Boehner but that’s just a catty, stupid thing to say.
So they think Boehner is looking for a way to make Obama look weak and stupid?
I wish Boehner had Putin envy...maybe he get a little more spine
Lol... 0 doesn’t need any help looking weak and stupid, so white wash has to project those characteristics onto others.
