Their business, they are allowed to request. I see nothing wrong with it.

Starbucks can make any policy they want, if they wish to ban guns in there stores they can, but they should expect a drop in customers...

.Starbucks should sell guns with their coffee...”

Bought two black mugs shaped just like a gun at a fundraiser recently. Really cool. Maybe Starbucks could sell them??

Me, too.

529 total now - 92% say yes!

Made my head hurt though just to glance through their idiotic headlines.

Poll is FReeped ... Funny thing, my daughter just got a job at Starbucks on Tuesday. She's pro 2a and shoots with me regularly. She already knows that I don't go/won't go to Starbucks and it has nothing to do with guns. It has to do with libs that hang out there and are willing to spend outrageous amounts of money on coffee. I do like coffee, but not so much to waste money.

As for our local Starbucks, I haven't heard it is an issue to carry.

My question is what conservative would want to subsidize that Leftist outfit with their business anyway?

They serve bad coffee and bad politics, two excellent reasons not to patronize them. With all of the outlets to purchase coffee, why would anyone choose to patronize one that is so vocally in opposition to their beliefs?

I’m probably on the wrong side of this with most of you - it’s their business, they own it so they make the rules. If I don’t like their rule, I don’t have to go in there.

I have a relative that gives me gift cards to Starbucks and when I’m in that area, I use their drive-through and get a café latte.

I just think business owners should be able to run their business.

Just like the bakery which was forced to make a wedding cake for a gay couple, right?

The question is should they, not do they have too. They should, but they don’t have too.

But you can't say no blacks or women for example. What are the limits a business can set in terms of what customers they can have and what rules they must adhere to?

I notice the Starbucks policy is that "guns were no longer welcome in its stores, but stopped short of an outright ban." It could be that there will be legal problems. A policeman or detective would be affected presumably. Would they be given a wavier?

The company said it is not asking its employees to enforce the policy, to avoid confrontations with armed customers.

I have no reason to go into a Starbucks. Coffee smells burned and costs $4.00.
I make better at home for a fraction of the price.

They shouldn’t have had to make the cake - if that was my business, I would not have made it.
