In all the excitement over the Obama administrations moves with Syria and Russia, the usual commentators have been forgetting an important anniversary. Seventy-five years ago, in September 1938, the leader of Europes most powerful nation went hat-in-hand to an upstart dictator who was ready to start a global conflict because he felt personally slighted.
That fatal diplomatic event was the Munich agreement. Its main protagonists were Britains Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and Germanys Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler. The meeting at Munich was called to resolve a crisis over Czechoslovakia, a thriving democratic republic in Central Europe whose only offense had been to draw Hitlers ire by not rolling over for him as the leading Western powers had already done.
A crucial supporting player at the Munich meeting was the Italian Duce, Benito Mussolini. History tends to regard Mussolini as Hitlers second fiddle; but, without Mussolini, the Munich meeting might not have occurred, and in that case Hitler would have lost the chance for his greatest foreign policy triumph.

Chamberlain, appeaser as he was, may have been deluded and succeeded only in giving Hitler the unfettered time he needed to complete his plan to initiate world control, was still a man who when faced with irrefutable evidence of his mistake (German invasion of Norway), resigned.
A comparison with Chamberlain is wrong. Chamberlain was a half-breed Muslim, born in a hut in Kenya of a seriously disturbed mother and conniving father. Chamberlain wasn’t reared in an Indonesian Madrassa praying 5 times a day to Mecca. He wasn’t a community organizer, and he didn’t hate the country to which he falsely claimed citizenship. He didn’t willfully to destroy his country from the inside out.
Chamberlain may have been an idiot, a schemer - many things, but he was nothing like an Obama.
Right...Chamberlain was unrealistic and gullible... “O” is a malicious poseur and demagogue.
Chamberlain also supported the development and acquisition of the Spitfire and Hurricane fighters, and the building of the RADAR line that defended the UK.
He wasn’t an evil man like the man-child Obama.
BTW....that radar line was called “Chain Home”.....
