Rahm Emanuel condemns 'brazen' Chicago shooting

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel condemned a Thursday night shooting on Chicago’s South Side that wounded 13 people, including a three-year-old boy.

“Senseless and brazen acts of violence have no place in Chicago and betray all that we stand for,” said Obama’s former chief of staff in the first of a series of tweets Friday morning.

“The perpetrators of this crime will be brought to justice and prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” Emanuel added.

Witnesses said several gunmen fired at least 20 shots at a group on basketball courts, according to NBC News’s Chicago affiliate. The station said Emanuel returned to Chicago from Washington, D.C., after news of the shooting broke, canceling meetings he had scheduled with officials in President Obama’s Cabinet.

Chicago has experienced a spate of gun and gang-related violence in recent years. Just this week, the FBI released new crime statistics that deemed Chicago the nation’s murder capital, surpassing New York.

Rep. Jan Schakowsky, a Democrat from Illinois, said the shooting shows the need for Congress to act on gun control.

“Congress must act now to pass gun safety legislation that protects our children, families and our communities,” Schakowsky said in a statement Friday morning.

The country has seen two mass shootings this week, Schakowsky said, referring to the attack Monday at Washington’s Navy Yard that left 12 victims dead.

“At what point do we act?” she said. “How many more innocent lives have to be taken until Congress is forced to do something? These questions should no longer go unanswered. I am outraged and angered that gun violence continues to affect the lives of innocent people.”

Good thing Chicago’s got all those guns locked down because of those great gun control laws, eh, Rahm?

Rahm? Hello?

If we keep on with the communists Democrats and the King Obama destruction of our economy this is what America will look like in the near future. Mass murder will be uncontrollable due to the population seeing no future and they will be losing everything. Starvation will be like the great depression.

Uhh......Earth to Rahm. This has been going on in Chicago for YEARS. Where have you been? Also, you wouldn’t be making any statement if these shootings were spread out individually over a two week period.....which is typical for shootings in Chicago.

What is Rahm doing in the evenings when the South Side gets hot?

Can't he bring Zer0 in to give a speech down there every evening after dark?

Stop, pat, frisk.........Oh, that's right! Can't do that.

Urban people should go on a strike, refusing to spend one dime in their cities until Stop, pat, and frisk can be done, starting first in the areas most infected with bad people.

People who live in cities deserve the right to be safe. Guns are not the problem. It's the people who use them, a can of gasoline, a crowbar, knife, club, etc....

Why does north Chicago have a low crime rate and south Chicago have such a high crime rate? (Hint; it has nothing to do with laws or the number of guns)

A large part of the violence in Chicago is caused by city sub-contractors. Rahm should be made aware of this. When unauthorized drug dealers, underage sex trafficking, or other city monopolies are infringed upon by “coyote” operations, the city itself cannot afford the bad publicity of using the regular police to sanction them. Instead they loose their sub-contractors (authorized criminal elements) to perform the sanctions for them. This provides significant advantages, including the shrieks for for more police, wails of more gun control, and tranferring blame (a Progressive standby) outside the city and his control.

None of this will be in the news because liberals don’t care that blacks are gunning down other blacks. All the years that the Crips and Bloods were gangbanging, you never heard a peep from people like Feinstein.

>>Chicago has experienced a spate of gun and gang-related violence in recent years.<<

spate [speyt] noun 1. a sudden, almost overwhelming, outpouring: a spate of angry words.

Please note that "spates" in Chicago last for years and years.

But that's not too hard to comprehend, is it? How could it be otherwise when you have people like this proposing solutions?

>>Rep. Jan Schakowsky, a Democrat from Democratically controlled Chicago which is part of Democratically controlled Cook County which is part of Democratically controlled Illinois, said the shooting shows the need for Congress to act on unConstitutional gun control. >>

Italics added to highlight the inconveniently omitted.

Hey Rahm!

What have you done about those 500 murders last year?

Why are you getting all upset about these people getting wounded?

Timing?
Opportunity?
You don’t like the weapon that was used?

*“Congress must act now to pass gun safety legislation that protects our children, families and our communities,” Schakowsky said in a statement Friday morning. *

Schakowsky must be a little “slow” as they say in Chicago.

Let me spell it out for you Jan, since you seem to have logic skills in the lower 10 percentile.

Chicago lots of gun control, lots of shootings.
States with low gun control, few shootings.

Learn it. Know it. Live it.

This says it all: “said Obama’s former chief of staff in the first of a series of tweets Friday morning.”

Leftists are gutless cowards. Rahm doesn’t have the guts to crawl out of his fascist fortress and comfort the grieving family of the 3-year-old who was shot. He tweets like a chicken. When TSHF, it will be our duty to dig these rats out of their holes and introduce them to the real world.

Incidentally, FUNSA

They do, at least temporarily, have a lot of the guns locked down. Problem is they don’t have most of the Trayvons and Leshauns who were caught illegally packing locked down. Then, duhhh, the Trayvons and Leshauns just find a few more and keep on murdering people.
