EPA’s rule on greenhouse gases: Big promises, little impact

The Obama administration on Friday set the first-ever limits on greenhouse gas emissions from power plants, but their impact could be minimal because they don’t apply to existing plants and there are few coal-fired power plants being built in the United States.

EPA administrator Gina McCarthy said the technology exists to capture and store the carbon, and the Department of Energy has billions in grants to help make it work.

“I believe this proposal, rather than killing the future of coal, actually sets a certain pathway forward for coal to be a part of the diverse energy mix in this country,” she said.

...the Obama administration promises to deal with planet-warming carbon emissions. The real test will come next year when the Environmental Protection Agency puts out its greenhouse gas standards for existing power plants.

more BS on the way folks.

Obviously , Ms. McCarthy of the EPA doesn't read the newspapers , or isn't interested in any opinion other than her own.

BBC Headline : Norway abandons Mongstad carbon capture plans
"The outgoing government in Norway has buried much-vaunted plans to capture carbon dioxide and store it underground amid mounting costs and delays.
"At both the national and international level, the development of technologies to capture and store CO2 has taken longer,
been more difficult and more costly than expected," Oil and Energy Minister Ola Borten Moe told reporters...

Never say that our EPA wasn't up to current events!.. now if only they would read newspapers instead of looking at the political cartoons !

Little impact? WTH? Apparently higher energy bills and hundreds if not thousands of folks dependent on coal out of work doesn’t amount to much. Nah. Hardly any impact at all. I guess king hussein’s wet dream of shutting down coal fired plants is about to happen. Asshats. Must be nice to live in a fantasy world. Even more insidious, what the hell are we gonna put in the Christmas stockings of kids who have mis-behaved?

How much success has the EPA had with forcing the world's #1 polluter - China - to cut back on emissions? These nitwits tell US plants that they can no longer burn coal (even though these US plants have scrubbers in place that remove SO2), but they have no problem selling that coal to China at a discount where there they have no scrubbers.

Its sorta like our _Resident : you know its there but you can't see it, it smells bad , and vaporizes just like all of his other promises !
Oh ,.. and don't spare the expense ! .. after all , we have a very large tax base.
Isn't it time for him to have another vacation ?

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls our climates.

3. The earth is a rock.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

Hey!

If we can bury gas, we shouldn’t have any trouble burying nuclear waste!

Junk science by "useful idiots".

Intended to reduce America to the level of Zimbabwe.

This Junk Science is part of Cloward-Pivan strategy of Anarchy.
