McCain and G. Gordon Liddy, it is commonly known, are, or were, old friends, and Liddy raised quite a bit of money for the McCain campaign.
So it was quite a revealing moment to see McCain on Letterman few years ago. Letterman asked: aren’t you friends with convicted felon G Gordon Liddy?
And McCain paused - a long time - and answered. “No - well I’ve MET him once or twice...”
That really spoke volumes. At the same time I really admire McCain... I just don’t see why he feels he has to be the left’s bitch.
