Cassidy Lynn Campbell broke down in tears Friday night when she learned that she had been crowned homecoming queen.
The senior at Marina High School in Huntington Beach was born male but told The Times she always felt like a girl. In high school, she began taking hormone blockers and estrogen injections prescribed by an endocrinologist and made the transition to living as a girl.
She decided to run for homecoming queen, in part, to make a statement.

While the sickos are bowing to gay marriage and transgendered sexuality, the crickets are the only ones celebrating the parents who are a man and a woman.
To my knowledge I had never met a transsexual until about a year ago. I had a brief conversation with him -- he seemed like an intelligent college kid -- and after he left I said to one of his friends, "I know this sounds ridiculous, but I couldn't tell if your friend is male or female. Which is it?" Their answer was that he had not had "the surgery," but he was "on his way to becoming female." It just seemed sad.
O.C. High School is SOOOO open-minded, forward thinking and inclusive. I’m sure they are awaiting the world’s applause.
I was at a restaurant recently and we were waiting for service. I saw a server walking by and I said, “Ma’am, would you mind helping us?” and as she turned I realized it was a male who had long hair pushed back with a headband, five-o’clock shadow with makeup, tight bustier top holding up nothing, leggings, and fingernails with a fabulous manicure.
It is sad.

Somebody needs to sit down with these “young skulls full of mush” and counsel them about how their “queen” was really a boy dressed up like a girl. Isn’t that a little creepy? Their homecoming turned into a freak show.
I hope he finds his way back to being comfortable as a male. But, it's his life.
