Everybody hates Ted Cruz: The most unpopular man in Congress!
Salon ^ | September 20, 2013 | Joan Walsh

Posted on 09/21/2013 10:19:18 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The wheels are coming off the clown car that is the modern Republican Party. House and Senate GOP leaders are sniping at each other, on Twitter and, even more nastily, via their congressional aides. And no one’s been more vilified than the junior senator from Texas, Ted Cruz. Not even Barack Obama, for a change.

Cruz has defiantly led his party down the dead-end path of demanding that Democrats agree to defund Obamacare in exchange for Republicans’ voting to keep funding the government. Polls find even Republicans don’t like that idea, and so a few GOP politicians are asking what Cruz’s endgame is. And when Cruz said he knew Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wouldn’t let such a bill pass the Senate, and suggested it was all up to House Republicans, the knives came out.

Actual House Republicans attacked Cruz under their own names. Arkansas’ Tim Griffin tweeted, “so far Sen Rs are good at getting Facebook likes, and townhalls, not much else. Do something.” Wisconsin’s Sean Duffy likewise tweeted, “House agrees to send #CR to Senate that defunds Obamacare. @SenTedCruz & @SenMikeLee refuse to fight. Wave white flag and surrender.”

Rep. Paul Ryan told Politico in an interview, not via Twitter, that hostility to Cruz and other Senate GOP extremists is “pretty palpable in our conference, I would say. You mean about how they’re saying we’re not going to fight, and back at you, we’re not going to fight but forget about what we said earlier? Yeah, there’s a bit of frustration. … We all believe the same thing, we all want to achieve the same goal, and so we shouldn’t be questioning each other’s conservatism over tactical disagreements.”(continued)

Never-ever have I seen so much of the establishment fight so hard to force a law that nobody wants, nobody needed, and both parties agree is going to be bad both in regards to cost, service, and the economy?

Yet the high and sanctimonious media and political hacks insist of forcing it down our throats with a boot to the back of our necks.

yah. he's the one that they're afraid of most apparently, which makes him my kind of guy.

Cruz/Gowdy my wet-dream team from hell for the liberals!

I'll tell them something for free. If the media pick this years nomination again, you know, the McCain's/Ryan's/Christie's etc, all these moderate squishy types, then I not only won't vote for them, I'll stay at home. I don't HAVE to vote which is something that GOP "leaders" seem to fail to take into their calculations.

Sounds like Walsh hit a Saloon before writing this article.

IF she thinks that this GOP infighting is something, wait till we all unite and kick their red asses out of power.

The Demonrats have awoken a “sleeping giant” with many heads - Gun Rights, Education Reform, Pro-Coal energy, anti-Tax/IRS movement, anti-PC movement, Mens’ rights, Drill-Baby-Drill movement, anti-union movement, First Amendment Rights, anti-un-necessary surveillance movement, etc.

And they are all coming your way, Walsh, from now thru the 2016 elections, and will run over you like a Abrams tank over a trash bag.

The more he is hated in Congress, the more the rank and file Conservatives love him. Cruz has figured it out. He wasn’t sent to Washington DC to be popular.

How many people are in Congress?

And, how many people are there out here in the hinterlands?

Just a Salon psy-op aimed at attempting to reverse the reality that he is actually quite popular.

313.9 million people in America and at least 156.8 million of them could potentially vote for Cruz.

Versus 541 in Congress.

Yeah, well I guess Cruz must really be unpopular.

I doubt it, hard drugs are the liberals choice, soft drugs for an easy buzz after "work".

This leftist idiot must have missed another news story how Dingy Harry was the most despised politician. Maybe the dried up old skank just blanked out on that one.
