History shows us that as free nations become complacent, they become vulnerable to manipulation. Most dictatorships rise gradually -- a step at a time. Smooth talking politicians make each incremental step seem reasonable, because the masses are blind to the tides of change. The wisdom of Wendell Phillips fades away: "Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty."
Austria illustrates the power of gradualism. In 1933, it was a free nation. In 1934, its government began to centralize its power and welcome the influence of Nazi sympathizers. By 1938, it had become a Nazi dictatorship.
The downward slide began with one crisis after another. A third of the people were out of work, inflation rose to 25%, and political turmoil caused civil unrest. People longed for a leader to rescue them. Adolf Hitler campaigned in Austria, promising to solve their problems if they were annexed to Germany. A persuasive speaker, he gave them hope and won their hearts. The Austrian people voted him in.
Why? How could the Austrians be so blind? The answer is simple: they faced hard times, so they chose to believe Hitler's promises. They didn't see him as we do -- brutal, arrogant, narcissistic and ruthlessly ambitious.

A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the region of ignorance that tyranny begins.
Americans started losing their freedom when they started asking government hacks to define what each right in the Bill of Rights meant. It was OUR job to tell THEM what each right meant. Yup! IGNORANCE.
Men who look to God, and not other men for their affirmation, cannot be manipulated.
Only because we are allowing generations to be indoctrinated by the State. Germany was early because their indoctrination system was put in the 1800’s with State control over curricula....we allowed total State control with Jimmy Carter. John Dewey installed the Humanistic curricula—but many States used their own system-—but Childhood Development Degree brainwashed generations of teachers now.....so they can’t “think”—use Reason and are not Virtuous (Excellence/Wisdom/Courage/Temperance ONLY comes from Classical Education which includes the Bible).
The Prussian school system——started in Germany-—the greatest vehicle for mass indoctrination. First thing dictators/Lenin did was get complete control over all information and the “school” system. Collectivization/Indoctrination/habituation-—tying emotions to “concepts” in children. Humanistic Education. Literally “Thought Control” since ignorance is forced into the curricula (confusing nonsense) and “emotions” are elicited by curricula—like Common Core ties “nag” to “mother” .
Pavlov was friends with Lenin and Edward Bernays discovered the power of mass psychology through images/music/”public relations”-—especially if you can get them young and are repetitive. Embedded ideas are in ALL of US curricula which not only destroys true knowledge—but destroys Christian Ethics (US Virtue/Justice System).
In the 70s, the Marxist Feminist and Homosexual movements were allowed to affect all curricula and indoctrination since Jimmy Carter, the Communist, created the DOE. We need to get back to the pre-Dewey curricula yesterday.
Destroy Virtue in children and you destroy the culture. Sex Ed (Marxist construct/Lukacs) is the vehicle they use to wipe out Christian Ethics and dignity and respect for other people. Sex Ed corrupts the normal sexual identity formation of children. Innocence is required in Latency when they bond with the same sex. They will not appreciate “the other” (diversity of the body) if they are taught sexual mechanics which removes the awe and mystery of the opposite sex. Reduces man to base animal—removes morality from the sex act when taught in groups where the essential elements of morality (privacy and intimacy) are ejected from the classroom. Embarrassment and resentment of differences is the natural result of sex ed-—where humiliation leads to no respect of themselves (they use their bodies like toilet paper) or of other people-—particularly the opposite sex because differences are naturally hated by the immature (which all children are by nature).
Incremental Steps to Dictatorship?
When your doctor is required to ask you non-medical questions drafted by an anonymous government agency regarding intimate details of your life as a condition to rendering medical services.
Isnt it a bit like the pre-WW2 question asked in Germany about ones religion which you can leave blank if you choose?
Wonder if members of Congress and their aides are "exempted" from such questions when they seek government provided health care?
Compliance with Tyranny is Treason.
I would like to see some author compile all the theocratic statements of Democrat Party leaders to show that it is THEY, who want to impose a theocracy. I don’t have time, I have to pay taxes.
