First. Colorado clearly demonstrate the power of the pro constitution and pro second amendment voters have in this country. It clearly should tell the socialist politicians that the majority of our voters, even in a liberally controlled area, will not stand for more more useless restrictive gun control. The voters clearly understand that this is people control and not gun control.
Second. There is history to review where all can clearly what happened the last time they tried a national gun ban on modern sporting rifles. The socialists got slaughtered in the next congressional elections. Then take a peak at the 2010 congressional elections. This will fire up that voting base X 10.
I use the term "socialist" quite accurately. I spent a lot of years in Europe listening to the openly socialist politicians there make speeches and read their positions in the printed news. The words that come out of the Democrats mouths here, now, are Identical to the openly proud to be socialist politicians in Europe. Make no mistake these people follow a strict socialist agenda. Chicago, which has some of the toughest, most restrictive gun laws in the country, is well on its way to being Murder City, USA. Wash DC is up there also.
And the fight to not lump all suffering with mental illness into the “dangerous” category should also obsess us. Millions of people suffer from serious mental illness - my youngest son included. Most are not dangerous at all, they are just suffering. But the only time the media talks about mental illness is when a tragedy occurs and the general public gets impression anyone with mental illness is dangerous. That’s simply not the case.
