President Barack Obama on Sunday memorialized the victims of the Washington Navy Yard shooting by calling for a transformation in the nations gun laws to address an epidemic of gun violence, saying, Theres nothing inevitable about it.
Reprising his role of the nations consoler in chief after yet another mass shooting, Obama said Americans should honor the victims of last Mondays shooting by insisting on a change in gun laws. It ought to obsess us, Obama said.
He said no other advanced nation endures the kind of gun violence seen in the United States, and blamed mass shootings in America on laws that fail to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and dangerous people.

nary a day goes by that the Idiot in Chief doesn’t embarrass himself and America
(plus, cause tons of heartburn all over the world)
note: for some insane reason, US military personnel are not permitted to carry weapons at the military base where the Muslim-loving shooter did his mass murder (jihad?)
had there not been gun restrictions on the base, someone almost certainly would have stopped this terrible event much sooner
“Rather, the fight to keep our gun rights will instead obsess us, to use his words. “
A cop pulls over a guy who hands the cop his DL and CCW. The cop says, “what are you carrying?”
The guy says, “I’ve got a .45 on my belt, a .38 long barrel in the glove box and a AR-15 in the trunk.”
The cop says, “What are you afraid of?”
The guy says, “Not a damned thing.”
Obama is a useful idiot. Putin will eat his lunch.
Yet, he’s happily arming terrorists and criminals around the world. Great.
Oh, it does, Barry. Just not in the way you expect.
First. Colorado clearly demonstrate the power of the pro constitution and pro second amendment voters have in this country. It clearly should tell the socialist politicians that the majority of our voters, even in a liberally controlled area, will not stand for more more useless restrictive gun control. The voters clearly understand that this is people control and not gun control.
Second. There is history to review where all can clearly what happened the last time they tried a national gun ban on modern sporting rifles. The socialists got slaughtered in the next congressional elections. Then take a peak at the 2010 congressional elections. This will fire up that voting base X 10.
I use the term "socialist" quite accurately. I spent a lot of years in Europe listening to the openly socialist politicians there make speeches and read their positions in the printed news. The words that come out of the Democrats mouths here, now, are Identical to the openly proud to be socialist politicians in Europe. Make no mistake these people follow a strict socialist agenda. They are SOCIALISTS in every way!!!!!
He was Amish also!
I live in “Don’t give a crap land.” I’m so proud!
Mr. Obama’s comments were made as he was surrounded by MEN WITH GUNS to protect him.
Why is this necessary, if the solution is LESS GUNS? Lead by example, Barry.
His Defense Department granted this "dangerous" person a Secret clearance.
more obsessed with how a pos like this could’ve stolen the last two elections and/or duped so many to vote for him both times...
The only gun law worth obsessing about is the 2nd Amendment.
Chicago, which has some of the toughest, most restrictive gun laws in the country, is well on its way to being Murder City, USA. Wash DC is up there also.
And the fight to not lump all suffering with mental illness into the “dangerous” category should also obsess us. Millions of people suffer from serious mental illness - my youngest son included. Most are not dangerous at all, they are just suffering. But the only time the media talks about mental illness is when a tragedy occurs and the general public gets impression anyone with mental illness is dangerous. That’s simply not the case.
Fubarack is too obsessed with himself......
