)Illinois Governor Pat) Quinn Open-Minded About Using State Resources To Curb Chicago Violence
CBS Local ^ | September 21, 2013 | CBS

Gov. Pat Quinn says he would consider using state resources to help combat Chicago street violence, but only if city officials want the assistance.

Speaking on this week’s mass shooting in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, Quinn was asked whether there have been discussions about sending in the state police or Illinois National Guard to assist Chicago police.

(snip)

"I live on the West Side of Chicago. It is an area that has been inflicted with violence, and we’ve got to protect the people,” Quinn said.

"we’ve got to protect the people,” Quinn said."

Crook County has been protecting its own for centuries.

we’ve got to protect the people

Government has done such a great job already, lol

How about letting people arm themselves with background checks and concealed carry permits and let them do YOUR jobs.

Interesting that Governor Irrelevant is open to using MORE PEOPLE WITH GUNS to combat violence in Chicago, while all the time trying to keep ordinary citizens, who are the victims, from defending themselves against the vermin that prey on them.

****”I live on the West Side of Chicago. It is an area that has been inflicted with violence, and we’ve got to protect the people,” Quinn said.****

But how is Governor Irrelevant, living amid the crime and violence, somehow NEVER a victim? Because he has PEOPLE WITH GINS protecting him and is family 24 hours a day.

Protection apparently only Governor Irrelevant and Rahmbo the potty-mouthed mayor are entitled to. The citizens who elect them and pay their salaries can go fend for themselves, unarmed.

All at once Quinn has shown himself to be WRONG about “less guns meaning less crime” and a hypocrite about the lives of those he’s sworn to protect.

Mr. Quinn could put his socioeconomic theories to work in his own life by dismissing his (and Rahmbo’s) armed bodyguards and walk unarmed among us, and see how long they survive. But, wanting to save their own skins and ONLY their own skins, they enjoy the protection of small arms while denying it for everyone else.

And that’s why he’s Governor Irrelevant.

Bring in the NATIONAL Guard to guard Chicago. Sounds like the first step to martial law.

“How about letting people arm themselves with background checks and concealed carry permits and let them do YOUR jobs. “

That’s the ultimate solution. For the time being I’m ok with using NG troops - if they are allowed to load live ammo in their weapons and if their rules of engagement allow them to fire on the cock roaches if threatened. But, that won’t happen. So, with that enevitableity I say keep the NG out of it.

This will have unintended consequences. If the National guard actually does anything, like shoot someone, or even just drive around intimidating people, they will start to be viewed as an occupying army, and the people will start acting like an occupied people.

Clothes make the man, and people act out the parts they are given.

I can’t understand why Mayor Rhambo won’t deputize the Million Moms for Gun Control, and have Caliph Baraq use them with the ATF to clean out the Chicago ghetto.

An armed National Guardsman on every street corner in the city from 6PM to 6AM would be a start.

Rahm will never allow it because the National Guard and State Police will end up decimating the police force and city government.

If the National Guard goes to Chicago, what would be their orders or rules of engagement?
