Skip to comments.McCain Adviser to 'GQ': 'He [edited] Hates Cruz'

For refusing to be co-opted by the Republican establishment and the permanent political class while trying to honor his campaign promises, particularly on defunding Obamacare, "top" Republicans actually sent opposition research on Cruz to Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace before Cruz's appearance.
This was the type of backstabbing that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin predicted in an exclusive op-ed for Breitbart News on Saturday in which she said she and Cruz should compare "shiv marks" the next time they meet. Palin subsequently called on Wallace to release the names of the "anonymous sources."

I am a big fan of Sarah Palin but time and time again she supports McCain. If Wallace revealed that his source was in fact McCain, she’d disappear on this issue. She needs to cut her ties to that backstabbing collaborator.
Why can’t the people we hire to run our government and their advisors speak in gentleman-like and lady-like terms? We pay them enough. Why do they always sound like they are in a back bar-room somewhere?
Simple, power corrupts, absolute power absolutely. How else to shout your power than acting and sounding like a thug. In a different life these hacks would be Mafia Dons or Central Committee Members.
Is it because they can't stand the thought of being unable to make rules the rest of us that they exempt themselves from?
Oh haven’t you heard? She had “no choice” but to be “classy” and endorse that pond scum nutcase McCain, and it didn’t matter anyway because “JD Hayworth wasn’t viable”. So sayeth the excuse makers.
I wish she would loudly denounce McCain’s decrepit hide.
If voters in AZ can’t come up with anyone better than this senile Socialist to represent them, they should stop voting.
The fact that RINO McCain hates Cruz makes me like Cruz even more
Incorrect. It is because they and their wives are addicted to the Washington DC scene. The power, the lavish parties, the lobbyists they schmooze with. They are addicted to the entire social scene and milieu. Also many money making opportunities for wives (many are lobbyists) and offspring and for Senators and Reps too
They hate the voters, want nothing to do with them. They see voters as an evil they must deal with every 2 or 6 years
.... CHECK OUT DUPONT CIRCLE.... watering hole for Capitol Hill
Ted Cruz is taking attention away from these old Rinos. That is their main problem.
I think People like Sen McCain is a nattering old fool.
He is so self absorbed he can’t think straight.
Most of the bars where the politicos congregate are conveniently near Capitol Hill and the congressional office buildings. They occasionally make forays into Georgetown but the primary watering holes are nearby.
Ted Cruz is taking attention away from these old Rinos. That is their main problem.
That is exactly what I was thinking. He’s threatening to their comfortable club and the status quo.
The truth is, the GOP hates the Tea Party and anything or anybody associated with it.
The arrogance of power.
“CHECK OUT DUPONT CIRCLE.... “
Dupont Circle known for embassies, art galleries, and being an area that was decimated when AIDS hit. It is not where Congress critters and their staff hang out.
Think closer to Capitol Hill...the two Irish pubs near Union Station...the Hawk n Dove, Capitol Hill Club, etc.
Watch the Daily Show, or better yet, read about it. These people think a foul-mouthed, dirty-minded little old man (he barely clears 5’, is past fifty) with hair plugs who changes his Jewish name to Stewart is “cool”...and they imitate him. Everywhere you look you encounter idiots who imitate Jon Stewart. Dirty mouths, dirty minds.
But heres the important thing that none of these establishment backstabbers understand. Its not the messenger that matters. Its the message. You can try to take out someone like Ted Cruz, but that wont stop the message from catching fire. The message is liberty, and its been resounding ever since a band of patriots dumped tea in Boston harbor.
The message only grows stronger. The grassroots is bigger than any one person. We the People will rise up, and we will make our voices heard. Right now, Ted Cruz is speaking for us in this Obamacare fight. God bless him for it.
Hang in there, Ted and Mike. You have millions of supporters among ordinary hardworking Americans. We support you because you dont shy away from the fray. May your colleagues in the Senate gain the wisdom to support your excellent efforts so that you can see that the view is better from inside the bus than under it.
-- Sarah Palin
The backstabbers and their progressive bosses on both sides of the aisle completely understand.
They will do everything in their power to put out any and all fires started in the minds of voters, before we villagers turn those flames into torches and burn them out of their castle.
Its too late for that. This place is a tinderbox eagerly waiting for the right spark and the villagers are carrying full cans of twice as expensive gasoline.
Ted Cruz Ping!
If you want on/off this ping list, please let me know.
Please beware, this is a high-volume ping list!
I wonder if the day will come when Sarah Palin says something like, “John, I appreciate your service and thanks for picking me as your VP, but I am getting sick and tired of your s#it!”
Juan is an embarrassment for Arizona, ya think?
Now that he’s been cleared of phony corruption charges, Tom DeLay should primary Cornyn.
The Mancurian Candidate Speaks.
Brilliant suggestion!!! This would truly make the Left’s heads explode.
Now that hes been cleared of phony corruption charges, Tom DeLay should primary Cornyn.
I would prefer to have Tom DeLay back as House Speaker. Strangely enough, the House Speaker does not have to be an elected member of the House, but could be a non member elected by the members of the House.
One way or another, I think we will be hearing more from Tom DeLay in the near future.
Screw McCain and his service to our country. The NVA would have done a service to this country by never letting this whore see the light of day. His service will never make up for the damage he is doing to this country.
I wonder if McCain fully realizes or is too senile/disinterested to know. He may think they are doing good for him but they have made me despise him and his plicies.
McCain's father was a staff officer--General or Admiral. McC was born into privilege, married a rich woman, hasn't a clue of how we live at the grass roots level.
He thinks grass rots are something to pour weed killer on.
McCain hates Cruz because Cruz is everything McCain wishes that he was.
Since McCain was messed with for 5 years by the N Vietnamese he figures he has the right to do whatever the hell he wants. This is why he was a major backstabber during the GW Bush years.
He is an evil senile backstabber
perfect characterization of that obnoxious old fraud!
Ditto. Cruz is stirring up the DC cesspool and the flies such as McCain, Cornyn and McConnell are rising up in a stinking Rino cloud for all to see exactly WHO is determined to shove obamacare down America's throat.
Voters take notice.
“I am a big fan of Sarah Palin but time and time again she supports McCain.”
That’s why I am not a fan of Sarah’s any longer. If she can’t deal with the fact that she ran with that turd and while she kept his election efforts from becoming a complete disaster, he and is staff continually screwed her over even while she was his running mate; then she has no place in politics. To be credible, she needs to admit that he’s what he is, a senile old nut case and that she regrets running with him. Now I can hear the crackling of the flaming fires already.
What we have here is the opening battle for control of the GOP, yeah Cruz wants to defund Ocaire, but he knows that is not going to happen, but this “fight” will plainly draws the lines between the GOPe and conservatives. Which is why I am on Cruz’s side even thou I know OCaire will not be defunded.
Delay went to the House as a man of modest means, he left a multi-millionare. Draw your own conclusions. I’ll not be voting for Delay.
Regardless, I'd give DeLay a mega buck or two if he could effectively lead opposition to the Obama Agenda.
DeLay is effective and gets the job done.
Amen! Lets draw the battlelines so there is no confusion.
You have one or two MILLION (mega) dollars to give to DeLay?
Who ARE you?
Or do you mean “a kilo buck or two?”
