WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — Sen. Ted Cruz began a filibuster Tuesday with the intent of defunding the Affordable Care Act, known also as Obamacare.

The Texas Republican noted while on the Senate floor, “I intend to speak about defunding ObamaCare until I am unable to stand.”

Cruz additionally asserted that Democrats are not listening to their constituents in regards to the health care law, which is set to take effect Oct. 1.

“I rise today in opposition to ObamaCare in an effort to speak for 26 million Texans and 300 million Americans,” Cruz asserted. “It is time quite frankly to make D.C. listen.”

The issue is:

Where is the traitor Cornyn?

Why will Texans re-elect him?

First they ignore you.
Then they laugh at you.
Then they fight you.
Then you win.

-Go Cruz!

Yes, supporting senators should ask loooong questions. However, even during the questions, Cruz must remain on his feet.

The boy is scoring points.

There should be a rule that all members of the Senate be required to sit and listen.

But there isn’t. And they’re not.

Just like the movie, he can suggest the absence of a quorum and require a quorum call. The problem is the ‘RAT sitting in the Senate President’s chair would not compel the appearance of all senators.

“I just wish he had a relief pitcher to hold the floor for him when he needs to rest. Some senator who reads this forum, show up and stand in”

I know Mike Lee is going to help and I was listening to Shawn on the radio in the car just a minute ago and he was talking to a senator...didn’t catch his name...but he said as soon as he got thru with this interview he was going down on the floor to help out...

Also heard that our other senator...Cornyn...is siding with Mitch McConnell. Makes me so mad! He should be standing with Ted Cruz and representing Texas since we elected him. I have emailed him and have tried to call, but the line stays busy.

My letter to my Senator, Jerry Moran, KS

"Dear Jerry,

I just want to remind you that though you did not vote against Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act) in the Senate, you either voted against it when you served in the House or voted present, and as such, I expect you to continue to vote against it each and every time you have the opportunity, now that you are in the Senate. Don't believe advisors, the media or maybe some of your personal staff, that your Kansas voters expect you to vote for any budget that includes the monstrosity that is threatening to sink our economy, not to mention our civil liberties!

Regardless of what Justice John Roberts claims about this about this abomination, this is not constitutional. He has his job for life or now however long he desires it, but you, Senator, do not.

Your voters in Kansas, at least your voters' designees in the GOP, just voted for a Resolution to do what is necessary to get rid Obamacare! Hopefully, you will join Sen. Pat Roberts to Defund Onamacare.

I remember what you said in both your primary and general election in the last cycle, that you return home each weekend. If you still continue that practice, you now no longer only represent your House district but mine as well as all others and we do not want Obamacare!

We will not blame our conservative elected officials, if Obama shuts down the government. It is shut down each and every weekend plus all government t holidays as well and no one dies because of it! Your voters deserve no less and are closely watching to see what you are going to do. Sen. McConnell is unable to give you any cover here.

We are also upset that government employees aren't forced into the same freedom-depriving system, as usual and you and our other representatives have permitted tricks to see to it that we are forced to pay for your subsidies that you, by doing NOTHING, are forcing your voters to pay when we have no such "sugar daddy's" to pick up the tabs for us!

Finally, whether anyone calls it the TEA Party or irate taxpaying voters on a rampage, to quote an old movie, "Network, 'We're mad as Hell and we're not going to take it any more!"

“Also heard that our other senator...Cornyn...is siding with Mitch McConnell.”

Republicans as well as Democrats may be positioned to prosper from Obamacare. If so, they would suffer financially if Obamacare was cancelled.

“He really should be fitted with a bladder catheter, forego any solid foods, and drink only Mountain Dew during his filibuster.”

They use the term “taking to the diaper” for a good reason. He should wear one, seriously.

Really?
YOU truly think Texas only has 6 million?
I thought you were making point about legals versus illegals.

Texas has 26 million
You were only off by 20 million
